So, someone can come in the USA from China, get guns and kill 33 students.... My head is spinning.. There are illegals killing people with automobiles or molesting and murdering young children.

But it sure makes you think this episode was planned well in advance. Not that erasing visible signs of serial numbers makes much sense if you're not planning to come out alive.

I don’t think campus would chain doors shut. Here on my campus you can get impaled for obstructing exits. Even in lockdown that is not something we profs can do.
Think of the liability issues in fire/shooter where kids ran but couldn’t escape becuse someone chained doors.

There were several interviews on the radio today from people in the building where the shooting took place.
Per a "janitor" the alleged perp shot at him 5 times with a handgun as he looked over a person who had been shot. He said the shooter was "foreign," had a "black gun" and was very calm. The shooter missed the janitor from a distance of a few doors down the hall and the janitor ran out of the building safely.

IF TRUE....Both the State Department consular official overseas (who granted this person’s travel to US authorization at a US Embassy or Consulate) and then the ICE official who actually stamped his entry in his passport at his port of entry—and let him into the USA, should both be made public. That is, if this person is a non-citizen who was on a visa in the United States. Failure to perform full background checks and perform the usual due diligence, may have lead to the deaths of all those students.

That’s right. It would also mean that even if the creep was unrecognizable from the neck up, the authorities would have known his id from those fingerprints.

Nope- the info about the doors being chained was released by the police at both news conerences. They said the shooter chained the doors.
I may be mistaken- but I don’t think the school ever went on offical lockdown.

Re CNN: I switched to CNN when O’Reilly came on...Paula Zahn is REALLY over the top trying to stoke the “anger” about the notification. She’s not simply asking questions about what happened and when, she is pushing “anger” bigtime... Emotion-based agenda journalism.

The girlfriend looks like it was a diversion to get the police over there so he could attack the college. Doubting there was any connection other than people in dorm thinking it was a domestic dispute. More than likely he planned this out completely.

The police chief at the press conference said at least 2 doors were chained. The Palestinian kid, Jamal, who took the cell phone footage said he noticed policemen having a hard time getting into the main entrance to the building.
Somebody earlier in the afternoon proposed that the “perp” was in the building for some time before the shootings started...he would have had to be if he was the one who chained the doors.
Also, the chief said the shootings were in different parts of the Norris building, so he was definitely killing in more than one classsroom.
I’ve thought that if the two incidents are tied together, either the first was diversionary (which would also be in keeping with the Chicago Suntimes story about the bomb scares being to “test” security)
or
the first killing, if it was a girlfriend, was the random act and she was killed because she found out what he intended to do and the planned event was the Norris building...the RA was killed because he was in the wrong place at the wrong time.
The campus has over 200 buildings. I doubt the campus police force has more than 50 total officers, not all of whom were on duty on duty at the time.

I wonder if this killer Chinese national is from a connected family in China. Maybe this is also a diplomatic problem also. 24 yrs old, arrived last year. “lone gunman” bomb threats tested campus security by the killer.

From what I read, this lady was NOT an FBI agent. She apparently had worked for the FBI in the past, but right now, she's a mother of one of the students, and was calling in that capacity.
Maybe just one of those “truth is stranger than fiction” coincidences ? Genuine crime of passion going down earlier on a day something big planned by other persons unknown.
