And you could kill 32 people with all those box cutters?
What about the extra magazines? And the vest with magazine pockets?
I had some bullets just pop off one time while sitting in their box. They’re some mean sumabitches too!! It’s Glock’s fault....Wait everything with a 9mm diameter will hurt you!! I know the gun was black and that makes them meaner and quicker to shoot?? A well trained assailant (murderer) to have killed so many so quickly. 9’s are notorious for just going through stuff without doing any scrambling. Were they hollow points, hydroshocks?
I used to have an FFL and sold guns. When I did, I “think” that I remember only being allowed to sell guns and ammo to a US citizen and resident of the STATE to which I was licensed to do business in. If this guy was not a citizen and legal resident of the State of Virginia, this gun shop owner is in violation of Federal and State gun laws (I think”).
According to info posted on FR yesterday, the guy from the gun shop mentioned (on the black rifle forum) that they sold some 33-round Glock magazines in addition. Said that they were the only place around there that carried them. That would add somewhat to the price.
I believe he said that on the forum that before he had talked with the BATF. He was just beginning to connect the dots early yesterday evening. I read through the whole forum thread before it was taken down.
Guess it wasn’t a “Saturday Night Special”.
Glad to see ABC has a consultant. But he should be from Truth in Media not the FBI.
This is going to go on and on and the Second Amendment will be in the cross hairs until the event is eclipsed by another tragedy.
Each year more and more generations of Americans are being “educated” into believing that there is a direct equation between guns and crime and the only way to eliminate crime is to eliminate guns - illogical as it may seem.
But the leftist politicians and media have an agenda which in not tied into the elimination of crime by getting rid of guns. That’s just an effective red herring. There REAL agenda is to ASSURE the sheeple who comprise the American public remain pliable, defenseless stooges while the leftists incrementally dismantle our Constitution and rights and convert America into a clone of a typical socialist western degenerate European nation.
Here we go. It’s all about the gun, not the maniac.
He is a visitor in our Nation ONLY and his presence is only due to our gracious hospitality.
Or if you ae a Virginia CCW holder.
yeah a visitor who’s been here since he was 12 and graduated HS in Va.
... He had last renewed his green card on Oct. 27, 2003...
He may have legally purchased it, but to me it seems wrong. 100% NRA Life member here too.
Are you saying it should be stricter? 90 days? 120 days? Once a year? I am not disagreeing with you if that is the case.
I think it is more likely that you are being sarcastic and saying since it didn’t work here there should be no restrictions whatsoever. Why is it that it is always all or nothing for some conservatives. Everything is not black or white.
global warming... is it not possible/likely humans have some impact (even minimal) so it may be a good idea to control it before it gets out of control?
smoking... just because that one person you know smoked 3 packs a day lived to be 95 does not mean that smoking is not bad for you.
seat belts... even though there may have been one person in a million that was killed because they wore a seatbelt does not make it wise to never wear one.
How about making steps in the right direction. Improve your odds a little bit.
Are you on the correct forum?
To answer just a few things here, when you permit the government to dole out the articles that are your RIGHT to own, are you not giving up that right?
Global warming is an insidious attempt to slam the average guy with a global tax.
The one worlders are messing their pants trying to get that one.
Your post shows the same “logic” exhibited by most nanny state “Liberals” -
no cost benefit analysis.
If this “logic” were applied to other things, no one would be allowed to own an automobile or a swimming pool.
This kid was darn good instantly or all his deceased victims were within 10 ft. of the barrels. Something still doesn't smell right about this horrendous tragedy. Even good shooting takes a good bit of practice and from the cell phone recording....the shots were coming quick. Record of only one box of fifty 9's being bought?
No. It takes no skill whatsoever to walk around shooting people laying on the floor, standing on the otherside of a door, and otherwise standing in line as ordered from a distance of about 3ft.
In a West Point class room Cho would have never stood a chance. Today every 18 year old need some type of military training because you never know when the next SicChoPunk could pop up again.
See #69. The distance was ~3ft and no one challenged the perp.
Absolutely right. There is a difference in shooting and killing. This guy either practiced ALOT, or had some sort of formal training (and Im not talking video games).
yeah a visitor whos been here since he was 12 and graduated HS in Va. Wonder why he never became a citizen?
Where in NH is that?
I live in Southern NH. I think it may be time for some pre-next-ban purchases...
and Teddy Kennedy...why is that bloated, drunken murderer still driving?
"I feel terrible about this," Markell told ABC News at his store today, which is part gun shop, part pawn shop on the outskirts of Roanoke.
Poor guy. He's got nothing to feel guilty about, but I'm sure it'll always be on his mind.
You’d think the ‘chaining of doors from the inside’ would tip them off that it was premeditated, but the msm is all about the guns.
I’ve purchased two hand guns at Skips. A Ruger .45 and a S&W .40, both with a free box of ammo.
Come on up.
Yes very well planned. Even had the chains he used to bar the doors.
It suggests to me that VT is trying to figure out how they're going to manage all the bad PR and lawsuits when the public discovers that the university knew that Cho was a known problem and they did nothing about it. For starters, I read that Cho had set fire to his dorm room twice.
It should be a law that you have to be a US citizen to purchase a gun. Don’t look for the MSM and the gun-control lobby to mention this.
You have got to be kidding?
I agree. Something is not what it appears to be. The media are useless at truth. Leaks will probably be the source of how we get at the truth.
“And you could kill 32 people with all those box cutters?”
A few Muslims managed to kill 3,000 using box cutters. Get your head out of your butt.
$500 with night sights (tritium illuminated) around here.
Add the cartridges and tax and that’s about right.
To relly get rid of them you need a metal stamp.
Nope, not kidding at all:
The NYC law was introduced in 1995 to require age 18 for purchase. In 1998, the Mayor signed Local Law 22, which raised the legal age to purchase box cutters from 18 to 21 and expanded the ban on box cutter possession to any public place.
“To report a store in violation of the City’s box cutter law, consumers can notify the Department of Consumer Affairs by calling its Consumer Hotline at 212-487-4444 or 718-286-2990 or by visiting the DCA website at http://www.ci.nyc.ny.us/consumers .”
Why is it, that I'm not surprised? I suppose that it makes sense that whackjobs tend to be on medication, but I can't think of a single shooter like this who wasn't.
eyep...and at one time..you could bring down a 747 and two skyscrapers
What was the date his girlfriend broke off the relationship?
well, listening to a roommate of the girl who was killed early on...she said something to the effect, that she didn't even know there was a relationship. Now if that was her roommate...I think it was an excuse dreamed up by the MSM...sooooooooooo
You really have to be 21 to buy a box cutter in NYC?
What about all of those NYU kids who have to move out of the dorms. Must be rough going for them,
Ah, a whiff of common sense.
To elaborate -
If you are here legally, as a ‘resident’ should you be denied the ‘God Given’ RIGHT to ‘keep and bear arms’ as set forth by a huge group of ‘resident aliens’ (founding fathers)?
No. I don’t care who shoots a bad guy.
(Sometimes I chuckle when they shoot each other.)
No, if he was ‘talented with a handgun’ he would not have done what he did.
Every person that I know who is truly ‘talented with a handgun’ is also very (very) responsible.
Comes with the territory.
Do you mean to say that a Virginia CCW card holder can purchase more than one handgun per month? If so, I’ve been lax. I applied for a permit early in the morning of the first day they started that, and have had one ever since.
“He was or wasn’t present?”
Makes no diffeence. If Cho’s DL number and CIS “A number” were on the app then obviously he produced them (the store completes the federal and state paperwork, not the buyer).
Another item too. Notice how it took so long for any students to come forward as to knowing the gunman? Living on campus and no one (students) actually knew the guy it seems. If the truth, then a sad statement for that college community.
Just a lot of questions still stirring around in my head. Have you seen any info on whol his parents are (what they do)?
Are you sure that it was a Glock model 17?
I haven’t seen that reported yet.
