From what I read he was stalking her BIG TIME! I can just imagine what that girl went thru. Nothing about dating that I know of.

One thing about the killer’s personality - we know from this he was a very, very selfish individual. It was all about him and no one else mattered. She was probably the only girlfriend he ever had because he was such a loner/loser.

Good point. So far there’s nothing to definitively link the two with having a past relationship. He may have been stalking her, and she may have known he was stalking her, but the article only says she had a “new” boyfriend who had dropped her off just prior to the meltdown.
I don’t know about this case, but the way many obsessive stalkers work is that if the woman merely acknowledges their existence, it sets the stalker off.

Not in the media, at least. I'd speculate that the "rambling note" makes the link, though.
Just a guess, but she was probably nice to him a time or two, and he took it as an excuse to stalk her.
No way in hell this was his girlfriend, just the object of his obsession, she was unlucky enough to be his neighbor, any pretty neighbor would have been the object of his fantasies, she got the unlucky room.
I heard he was stalking her. I think that I also heard that he had been reported to authorities (I don’t know which authorities) for stalking a few times. I just wonder if all incidences were this girl or if there were others.
His personality sounds like he was a malignant narcissist - one of the worst.
