Isn’t it astonishing that liberals are always, ALWAYS, looking for some really bad news? And it doesn’t matter where they find the bad news, as long as some is discovered. Then they cogitate on it and whip themselves into a self-loathing, downward spiral where they are certain that most folks are awful.

Reminds me of the time I was interviewing Joan Baez backstage at the Warner Theatre in DC. I asked her how, after all these years, she could still keep doing concerts for various causes and such. Her answer?: “You just have to understand what a sh***y place the world is.”
