IMHO Rex Babin is the sorriest excuse for an editorial cartoonist in newspaperdom.

However, since no one has yet pointed out that he slipped on a mental banana peel with this cartoon, I will rise to the occasion. University of Texas, Columbine, and Virginia Tech are, of course, schools. Certified gun free and therefore ripe targets for deranged killers, secure in the knowledge that they could perpetrate maximum horrors since no one can provide instant protection. These institutions, along with Dunblane Scotland and the Amish Lancaster Pennsylvania school will stand forever as sad memorials to the folly of gun bans, and not, as Babin so idiotically suggests, a reason for taking away guns from those who would protect the innocent.
