Carolyn McCarthy’s husband and son were shot on the LIRR in 1993 by a black man named Colin Ferguson. He targeted white and Asian people. Instead of blaming Ferguson and his racism, she blamed guns.
I recall that incident. I did miss the first few seconds of the CNBC interview but I did catch a reference to LIRR. Thanx.
