Exactly right. I wish more would be done to enlist the environmental types to the efforts of those of us working to secure our borders and enforce our immigration laws.
Since 1970 the population of the US has increased by 100 million, since 1990 by 53 million, and since 2000 by 20 million. 3/4 of this increase can be attributed to immigration, legal and illegal. We are taking in more than 1 million legal immigrants a year and 500,000 to 1 million illegal aliens. The Bureau of the Census projects that we will have 364 million in 2030 and over 400 million in 2050. You don't have to be an environmentalist to appreciate what impact these increases have and will have upon such things as energy usage, water supplies, pollution, urban sprawl etc.
