In 1998 the Israelis admitted to a 200 warhead nuclear arsenal.
Since that time variouse military thinktanks have expounded evidence that Israel may be increasing this capacity bi 25 or ecen 30 waarheads every year.

The Islamic plan will need lots of SPF3,000,000 sunscreen.

There can never be a right of return. Any arab hudna that includes it, includes it only to ensure it can never be accepted.

Since the 1600’s, Islam has lain dormant at the doorstep of the West, only becuase it was too sick and weak to challenge the West which was beginning to enjoy the fruits of the Enlightenment. We’ve had a 500 year hudna owing to civilizations relative strenth against the 7th century mind set of Islam.

That Hudna seems to have been abrogated. For whatever reason, Islam now thinks it is on a par with the West (or understandably senses weakness in Western resolve to defend itself) and has begun to exert itself.

The way forward for another hudna (which as we all remember is an Islamic non-aggression treaty with infidels, the term of which is exactly as long as it takes for Islam to militarily gain the upper hand at which time the treaty is rendered null and void and Islam attacks) is to so thoroughly defeat the Islamic armies and war making capacity, and just as importantly, for Islam to see and understand that it is thoroughly defeated, that it will sue for peace and crawl back into its pre-Enlightenment hole for a few generation and prepare for the next attack (rinse, repeat).

Much of the West has abandoned Israel; She will get only token support from any other Western power in any conflict with the mullahs. The US has shown itself to be something of a paper tiger in Iraq, unwilling to accept even realatively light losses while inflicting heavy losses on the declared Islamic enemy (yes, we have a duplicitous political party and media, but you have to admit that this administration seems to have lost its desire to forcefully give voice for the reasons for the war or the catasrophic dangers of failure in Iraq).

Any real dimunition of perceived Islamic power will probably have to come from Israel, may G_d keep and protect her.

BUMP.

This Summer, Israel will face the larger war it has been engaged in since 1973.

Hamas, Hezbollah and Syria together, attacking from three different fronts.

The vacumn caused by the Democrat Party led abandonment and subsequent fall of Iraq will embolden an attack on
Israel.

The big questions are:

Does Israel still have superior conventional military
capability? 2006 actions create some doubt.

Does Israel have the political will to be victorious
rather than negotiate? Again 2006 actions create some doubt.

Has the Iraq war limited the United States physical and political ability to deliver war material to Tel Aviv?
The jury is out on this question.

Will a nuclear response by Israel be ther only option
for survival ?

I would say that a bigger question is

If Israel is forced into where do those warheads all go?

After Mecca, Medina, Tehran, Damascus, Cairo, Beirut, Alexandria, Shanghai, Peking...and the rest of the obvious targets?
