Could we please get on with winning the war and stop contemplating our navels?
Typical Army attitude toward the more aggressive Marines. What a Wuss!
Either this report was out and it's a WP attempt to throw fuel on an old fire, or Bargwell is
plagiarizing existing reports that have been out for months. There is nothing new here ...
Barracks chatter.
This is bullsh*t. Some General. Wonder if the general was/is combat arms or some remf puke? Disgusting, oh and screw the washington piss.
What’s the deal with this army general and why is he involved with the Marines?
Is this a hit piece and is he authorized to conduct an investigation?

Why don’t you take a moment to find out what his background is before making idiotic remarks?
Oops. I forgot the /sarc tag.
During the Vietnam War Bargewell was a non-commissioned officer in the secret unit MACV-SOG and received a Distinguished Service Cross for his actions. [5] He then received his officer's commission in 1973. [6] Bargewell has also served as a member of the 75th Ranger Regiment, [7] a former commander Delta Force at Fort Bragg, North Carolina, [8] [9] commander of US Special Operations Command Europe, [10] assistant chief of staff for SFOR military operations in Sarajevo, [11] and the director of the center operations, plans, and policies of US Special Operations Command.
Because of the joint nature of Combatant Commands.
What strikes me is that the leaks have started up again--months after Gen. Mattis order an IG investigation into the leaks of last Fall and Winter. Wonder why?
“Wonder why?”
I don’t know, but I’ve suspected in the past the leaks are deliberate. And I think the reason that happens, if it does, is to control the timing of bad news that’s going to come out anyway.
Amazing how the Washington Post receives these timely leaks from someone(s) interested in prosecuting the Haditha Marines.
This 104 page report ....”has not been publicly released because of ongoing criminal investigations of three Marines on murder allegations and four Marine officers who allegedly failed to look into the case.”....”Bargewell’s report, now unclassified, focuses on the reporting of the incident and the training and command climate within the Marine Corps leadership; it does not address the actual incident in detail.”...
Just when the outlook for the Haditha Marines’s cases was looking brighter (w/re to their prosecution), someone(s) gives the WaPo this report.
Wonder how that investigation into the original leak of the 10,000 page NCIS report to the WaPo is going? Must not be going very well since the Bargewell report has been leaked now.
Well do you know? And whats with a general officer slagging off fellow soldiers/Marines?Just remember Generals are political promotions.Nuff said.
New NC County Times Article:

And, look at this, reporting is all over the place.

Good finds, freema. Things are heating up in the Haditha case. The WaPo writes an article “Report On Haditha Condemns Marines”. The North County Times posts an article “Immunity grants may signal problems with Haditha prosecution”. Interesting difference between just the titles of the two articles.
According to the North County Times via AP, we now learn of another Marine who is granted immunity - Lance Cpl. Humberto Mendoza. This article even says Mendoza killed two from the houses that day. We knew about the one that he allegedly shot from the second house. Wonder if he is also responsible for the other death in which no unpremeditated murder charges was preferred?
So now it’s been reported Dela Cruz, Lt. Kallop, Mendoza, and a Marine intelligence officer all have immunity. Getting interesting.
You KNOW which one is my favorite!
