Last night at Walter Reed Army Medical Center, the D.C. Chapter of Free Republic was paid a visit by a film crew from French-Canadian TV 3 out of Quebec. The crew was there working on a story about Code Pink and they came up from the Pinkos' spot in front of Walter Reed to get our views on the war in Iraq.
Gael Murphy led a contingent of Pinkos up the block to our permitted area at the main gate so she could get some footage of the Pinkos 'dialoguing' with the Freepers for the film crew.
One of the Pinkos called our troops "the terrorists" in Iraq. That took an already contentious engagement to as close to blows as we've come in a long time. If it had been a man who said that instead of a woman, you might be looking at a ten count on the video instead of the verbal clashes that ensued.

One thing that struck me was that our side needs to be quicker on the draw with responses.
The leftists script and practice their responses. So did Winston Churchill. It may sound insincere, but it helps you come off better.
One loathsome POS on the YouTube video asked, “What is your definition of terrorist?”
Sitting here in warmth, comfort, and safety, it is easy for me to say that the lady who answered should have thrown that right back in his face, instead of trying to give a sincere, thoughtful answer. However, I think it to be true.
I think we need more scripting and more practice.

One of the Iraq Vets against the War was caught on video while protesting at a soldier’s funeral. He told the media that the parents were unable to handle the fact their son died for a lie. I posted about it on my blog and have gotten craploads from the IVAW members saying this was simply an upset vet. I say it’s the norm and a true expression of their feelings. Same thing goes for Code Pink.

1. There is a middle ground between “over the top name calling” and pre-emptive surrender.
2. Discounts that credit with whom? Certainly not with the left; they just think polite people are idiots for being so wimpy and ineffective.

1. No, they most certainly did not. The supercilious air of superiority affected by those loathsome scumbags is ruder than the crudest of obscenity, because it is deliberately rude whie pretending to civility.
The left often employs the strategy of being deliberately insulting and infuriating while presenting a facade of calm good humor. The unwary may be deceived, but there’s nothing mannerly about it.
2. Winning the manners battle loses us the culture war. It is long past time for decent people to realize that, when dealing with leftists, civility is just a self-imposed handicap.
The left only pretends to manners, and then only to draw an angry reaction for the cameras. Responding to that with genuine courtesy is folly of the highest order.
The left don’t mind engaging in over the top name calling and constant interruption themselves, and their complaints about other people failing to “respect” them are pure hypocrisy.
Acting as though they might possibly have a valid point to make does nothing but accord them an undeserved advantage. They do not have a valid point to make. They do not deserve respect, or even civility.
They are unhung traitors, every one, male and female, and should be treated as such.
You weren’t implying that calling them traitors was over the top name calling, were you? Because frankly, it is impossible to vilify them as strongly as they deserve. Human languages are simply not up to that task.
