Will FR embrace socialism to make way for Rudy Giuliani as a Republican presidential candidate?
vanity | April 21, 2007 | Jim Robinson

Posted on 04/21/2007 6:42:25 PM PDT by Jim Robinson

We've got some real challenges facing us. FR was established to fight against government corruption, overstepping, and abuse and to fight for a return to the limited constitutional government as envisioned and set forth by our founding fathers in the Declaration of Independence and the Constitution and other founding documents.

One of the biggest cases of government corruption, overstepping and abuse that I know of is its disgraceful headlong slide into a socialist hell. Our founders never intended for abortion to be the law of the land. And they never intended the Supreme Court to be a legislative body. They never intended God or religion to be written out of public life. They never intended government to be used to deny God's existence or for government to be used to force sexual perversions onto our society or into our children's education curriculum. They never intend for government to disarm the people. They never intended for government to set up sanctuary cities for illegals. They never intended government to “rule” over the people and or to take their earnings or private property or to deprive them of their constitutional rights to free speech, free religion, private property, due process, etc. They never intended government to seize the private property of private citizens through draconian asset forfeiture laws or laws allowing government to take private property from lawful owners to give to developers. Or to seize wealth and redistribute it to others. Or to provide government forced health insurance or government forced retirement systems.

All of the above are examples of ever expanding socialism and tyranny brought to us by liberals/liberalism.

FR fights against the liberals/Democrats in all of these areas and always will. Now if liberalism infiltrates into the Republican party and Republicans start promoting all this socialist garbage, do you think that I or FR will suddenly stop fighting against it? Do you think I'm going to bow down and accept abortionism, feminism, homosexualism, global warming, illegal alien lawbreakers, gun control, asset forfeiture, socialism, tyranny, totalitarianism, etc, etc, etc, just so some fancy New York liberal lawyer can become president from the Republican party?

Do you really expect me to do that?

My money:
Fred will take the R nomination and will probably pick someone young (in their 40’s) as VP.

Gore will get the D nomination (”he can win...”) and will pick Obama as his running mate.

Fred wins, but not by much.

Well, wouldn’t that be a demonstration of the true act of a Christian, and not that “X’ian” garbage you were throwing about earlier?!

Thanks for trying. But when all of their posts at the other site are worded that way, they forget that it isn’t acceptable here.

Your home page... short to the point and dead on... I will not vote the lesser of two evils either.

Romans 3:8 (King James Version)

And not rather, (as we be slanderously reported, and as some affirm that we say,) Let us do evil, that good may come? whose damnation is just.

My (and my nation's) JUST damnation from the One that matters is worth more than anything else.

Not only is it wrong, it is "JUST" for people to point it out as JR has.

If you hound him out, I’ll congratulate you.

I’d still pick him over Hillary if I’m forced to make the choice. We have months to go, before I’ll have to make any choice at all.

I’ve written no checks. I don’t have a candidate in the race that I support.

I lean towards Newt, but I’m not sure he’s running and am less that convinced that he could win. So, I just don’t know. And nobody has told me why I have to decide today.

I see no reason why we can not get a conservative nominated for the next election. Given her high negatives Hillary would have trouble defeating any solid center-right conservative.

Hey butch, are you equating 'butch' with 'faggot'? I was calling you butch because you're a fellow biker, biker babe and all. If you're a lesbian I suppose I'll apologize and desist. I didn't realize.

ps - I ain't a Rudybot ;)

Exactly!!!!

As long as the Republican Party is UNITED, there is no way that Hillary wins. If you want her to win--just split the party in two. The perfect person to do that is a LIBERAL like Rudy.

If you want to DIVIDE and SPLIT the Party WIDE OPEN--JULIEANNIE IS JUST THE MAN FOR THE JOB!

One need look no further than here to see how much damage JulieAnnie will do to the Party and the conservative cause.

Of course you’re not. You’re just insulting FReepers and making false accusations because that’s what you do. You don’t believe in anything but dragging down Free Republic. But you don’t have the courage to take it up with the man in charge. Instead, you pick up anti-freeper insults at your other site, and throw them out here for attention.

No, I don't.

Rudy is a Statist Socialist, pure and simple.

He will say or do whatever it takes to get the Republican nomination and get elected. The moment he takes office he will start pissing on our leg and tell us that it is raining. He is Hillary Lite, make no mistake about it.

Someone just posted an “Am not! Are too!” thread in chat. Why don’t you two head that way.
