Will FR embrace socialism to make way for Rudy Giuliani as a Republican presidential candidate?
vanity | April 21, 2007 | Jim Robinson

Posted on 04/21/2007 6:42:25 PM PDT by Jim Robinson

We've got some real challenges facing us. FR was established to fight against government corruption, overstepping, and abuse and to fight for a return to the limited constitutional government as envisioned and set forth by our founding fathers in the Declaration of Independence and the Constitution and other founding documents.

One of the biggest cases of government corruption, overstepping and abuse that I know of is its disgraceful headlong slide into a socialist hell. Our founders never intended for abortion to be the law of the land. And they never intended the Supreme Court to be a legislative body. They never intended God or religion to be written out of public life. They never intended government to be used to deny God's existence or for government to be used to force sexual perversions onto our society or into our children's education curriculum. They never intend for government to disarm the people. They never intended for government to set up sanctuary cities for illegals. They never intended government to “rule” over the people and or to take their earnings or private property or to deprive them of their constitutional rights to free speech, free religion, private property, due process, etc. They never intended government to seize the private property of private citizens through draconian asset forfeiture laws or laws allowing government to take private property from lawful owners to give to developers. Or to seize wealth and redistribute it to others. Or to provide government forced health insurance or government forced retirement systems.

All of the above are examples of ever expanding socialism and tyranny brought to us by liberals/liberalism.

FR fights against the liberals/Democrats in all of these areas and always will. Now if liberalism infiltrates into the Republican party and Republicans start promoting all this socialist garbage, do you think that I or FR will suddenly stop fighting against it? Do you think I'm going to bow down and accept abortionism, feminism, homosexualism, global warming, illegal alien lawbreakers, gun control, asset forfeiture, socialism, tyranny, totalitarianism, etc, etc, etc, just so some fancy New York liberal lawyer can become president from the Republican party?

Do you really expect me to do that?

If you feel 'attacked' then you better get back on your meds. You ain't sounding too stable lately.

First you complained that I attacked you. Then, when I point out that it was you first with the ad hominem attack, you complain again.

Around and around you go.... Are you Bi Polar, or just stupid?

“cringed when he implemented it.”
That states it better than I did.

California has always been one of the most liberal states in the country....I grew up there. What passes and passed for conservative there would get a candidate laughed at in a state like Mississippi...... heck my very liberal friend from Illinois came to visit one time and we went to California, she was in shock when she left... what passes for a Republican there (that can get elected to higher office) is Arnie and I wouldn’t relish him for POTUS in a million years.

“Then I guess the Republican party isn’t conservative because Rudy is the clear frontrunner nationally among Republicans.”

You mistake - either willingly or through ignorance- name recognition polls with actual support for rudy and his positions.

Detailed polls have shown most republicans don’t know rudy’s real record, and that they’d have trouble with someone with his positions. That is the truth. And as demonstrated by what has happened to his support here as the truth came out, that will follow in the rest of the country.

They never intended God or religion to be written out of public life. They never intended government to be used to deny God's existence or for government

My rabbi's wife was just talking today about how the Founding Fathers based our democracy on the assumption that we were a G-d fearing people.

Or law and order conservatives. Maybe he’s making socons feel at home, but since when are those the only conservatives?

Pull ease. If anything YOU and your friends were attempting to drive off the 'socons', IMO. Jims just taking his site back.

"fact that he did reform the NY crime situation and the budget in a total left wing climate are good signs."

Ya' know, that just don't wash, no mo'. You Rudy supporters have been getting away with that "Rudy brought crime down" stuff for too long. As a, then, resident of NY, I can tell you, it's just not true. You sound like the Clintons did about the economy, when, in fact, they inherited an already improving economy. Here is a graph showing that crime was already, quickly, on it's way down.

NYC is in red.

I had an interesting conversation with an airline seatmate last week, a John Howard-supporting Aussie police detective. He specializes in child exploitation cases, but is keenly interested in what’s happening to his country regarding the radical Islamic invasion. He told me he was sick to his core about how they sought to escape accountability.

A couple of interesting things came out of that conversation. One, he didn’t realize the US military was all-volunteer. The overseas media tends to omit that fact. Two, he was worried about appearing bigoted because of his views. I assured him that he had a lot of company, and that common-sense profiling in every other bit of police work was not considered to be bigoted.

And three, even with the things I mentioned above, he told me about many, many people around him who do get that a country’s survival against the malignancy that is radical Islam must not be lost during this accelerated political season.

For this reason, any democrat would be an unmitigated disaster. The stakes have never been higher. I believe that radical Islam notches up the danger presented by the Nazis because they are borderless. They share no common points with us. They are a tangental line with Western values. There are no common points.

I am a Fred supporter, and hope he gets the nomination. And while we’re talking about Ronaldus Magnus, let’s not forget that running off the cliff with all flags flying is what he recommended. And please, let’s also remember that the perfect is the enemy of the good.

If you think that Rudy would be the wrong choice, the primaries are the place to implement that opinion, and with as much energy as you can muster. I will not take part in a third party exercise that will escort Saul Alinsky’s most prominent protogee into the People’s House.

It is also prolife to ensure that the Western civilization does not fall to the death-dealers of terrorist Islam.

Eagles up!

You're damned right the Republican Party isn't conservative. It's been hijacked by a bunch of thugs that think conservatives should bend over and take the continued abuse. Well peachy dear...WE ARE TAKING THE PARTY BACK. LIVE WITH IT. YOUR DAYS OF HIJACKING ARE COMING TO AN END.

Rudy Doo-doo-onme?

No thanks.

This weeks Supreme Court judgement on PBA was fantastic. We would not have something like that with doo-doo-onme Giuliani nominating judges.

Not so. What many say is "I don't agree with him on some things but he's a proven leader." THAT'S the truth.

“I will NEVER vote for Rudy, or any other liberal/RINO!”
Read my lips.........
No new RINOS!!!!”

I will not vote for Rudy either, and do not believe he will win the nomination. I also believe that if by chance he did win the nomination, he would not beat the DEMS candidate no matter who it is! The MSM would make sure he didn’t win as they would have non-stop bad press to bring out on Rudy.
