Their college tour ended, Sheryl Crow and Laurie David describe their efforts to stop global warming as part of the "most important mission" of the times. That's the hope of Grammy-winning rocker Crow and David, who produced the Oscar-winning documentary movie "An Inconvenient Truth. Advertisement "It's great to go out and play music, and I love that, too. And it's also nice to make money. But this is not that," Crow said in an interview on Sunday in Washington. "This is a whole bunch of people dedicating their time, their lives, working for free, for a mission. And it is the most important mission." The pair rode a biodiesel bus on an 11-stop college tour to raise awareness about global warming. The tour began this month at Southern Methodist University in Dallas, and was timed to end on Earth Day.

Ever since I heard of this tour, I have been wondering where they fill up the biodiesel bus. I've never seen a gas station that sells the stuff. It seems more likely to me that they would have to have a gas or regular diesel powered tanker truck to haul the biodiesel along with the tour, which would defeat their purpose.

No problem finding it (and E-85) here in northern Illinois. The Biodiesel is mostly at truck stops.

How much energy is used at one of her concerts? And all the energy used by people traveling to and from her concerts?
Couldn’t she make a strong contribution in this area by just staying home?

Dear Sheryl,
If you REALLY wanted to stop global warming, you'd use BOTH SIDES of the toilet paper.

Just one of their regular vacations would have used more carbon than I have used my entire life. And they will continue to fly their private planes (I understand it is one that can go from US to Japan without a fuel stop) and now they want me to be put in a tall box so they can continue to roam free with royalty. CRAP!

I suppose I could get by on just one sheet if I had to. I could probably get by without the entertainment industry, too. Which do you suppose would save more energy and natural resources?

The pair rode a biodiesel bus on an 11-stop college tour to raise awareness about global warming. I am in favor of alternate fuel, but the sad fact is that we don't have enough arable land to grow all the fuel we use. At best, biofuels will only replace part of the petroleum fuel we use. That means that wasting a gallon of biodiesel is the same as wasting a gallon of petroleum diesel. If Sheryl Crow really believes this global warming stuff, then she would do the planet a favor by not running around in a bus, period.

I think Sheryl...or as I saw her referred to on another thread here at FR...Skid Crow...is three sheets to the wind most of the time, according to the info at the Smoking Gun link that follows. I think her micromanaged booze intake explains how she can stand spending time with Laurie David.

Lance Armstrong probably can't decide whether to feel happy that parted ways with "One Sheet Sheryl" before all this nonsense, or feel horribly embarrassed that he had anything to do with that skank in the first place.
Hey - I have an idea. Y'know the yellow plastic "Live Strong" bracelets? Conservers of toilet paper should have a brown "Smell Strong" bracelet. :-)
I've a suspicion that, like other "elites", Miz Crow doesn't follow her own rules. Bet she uses half of a two-ply roll every time nature calls.

That is the funny thing...the stuff is not that hard to find *especially* after the actions of *this* administration. (But of course I give a lot of credit to Willie Nelson also) When you get idiots like Crow & Company involved, it may get hard to find again.

I think that biodiesel is blended into regular diesel fuel at a ratio of about 5% bio, 95% regular diesel.
Doubt they could find much biodiesel on the road, so I suspect this is a load of PR bullchips.

Ship the vacuous twit off to an Islamofacist country where they don't have toilet paper, just a water hose. If she's only using 1 square already, she's used to walking around wet.
Or an arid Islamofacist country were they still use small flat stones to wipe themselves. 100% recyclable, though not a renewable resource. She can use the stone over and over.
Right up to the time when they subtract her worthless hollow skull from her body, for any number of offenses, all of which I'm sure she's completely oblivious to, the least of which is demanding a specific booze depending on what day of the week it is.
I'd suggest introducing her to the old method, corn cobs, but I'm sure she's familiar with them in a different, "not approved for use" context.

I’m not sure if you can find a blend that low these days. Maybe in colder climates? If I remember right, unless you get above 20% you would count, from a tax standpoint, as a seller of regular petroleum diesel.

In other news, Sheryl Crow announced she was kicking off a marketing campaign for her new line of designer lingerie called “Racing Stripe.” This will join her recently introduced swimwear line called “Skid Mark.” Celebretards and wannabees are flocking to buy Crow’s new fashions, to show their solidarity with her “one sheet to save the world” message.
