Father, we once again lift up our brother in Christ, President Bush, thanking You for his faithfulness to You and asking You to grant him the strength he needs to continue to accomplish the tasks with which You have entrusted him. We ask that he might be constant in prayer and in study of Your word and that he might seek first Your Kingdom every moment of every day. We pray for wisdom and discernment as he makes myriads of decisions both large and small. We pray for continued strength to fight the war on terror in spite of weakness and even treason on the part of Congress. Keep him firm in his resolve to support our troops and achieve victory in Iraq. Keep him faithful in love and praise of You, his Creator, and help both him and Laura in their daily walk with You that they might keep You in the center of their relationship and in their lives as individuals.
Lord, we continue as well to lift up our soldiers, sailors, airmen and Marines who are serving abroad; especially those who are in harm’s way. We ask for Your divine protection over each one of them and ask that they might find refuge in the shadow of Your wings. Lord, we grieve at the news of the loss of more of our troops, and pray that You might wrap each one of their family members and loved ones in Your Almighty arms. We pray for those who have been wounded, that they might regain health and strength. Lord, how we thank You for all of these volunteers who are willing to sacrifice on our behalf and protect this nation from harm, and ask for a victory that is swift and sure.
And dear Lord, we pray for this nation, asking for forgiveness of our sins and for cleansing of all our unrighteousness. We continue to pray for You to raise up a righteous leader who will stand strong for morality and life, and for the protection of America against evil. We know that with You all things are possible, and we thank You in advance for the answers to these prayers. We also ask for Your healing on this forum; that the hateful and haughty voices will be stilled, and that each one here would realize that we must be obedient to You and loving in all things, even when our names are not known. We thank You for the privilege of coming to You with requests large and small, and ask that You hear each prayer written and spoken here, and that everything asked will be in the strong Name of Jesus, who is the Christ, Amen!

Thanks so much for the prayers for President Bush. He needs all our prayers to uplift him. I read somewhere that he always feels uplifted when he thinks about all the people who are praying for him, and this is what gives him strength to carry on the fight.
