From our good news file: Ailing White House spokesman Tony Snow has told his boss that he plans to return to work on April 30.
"That's what he's been telling people" inside the West Wing, says an official. Snow's been away fighting cancer and surprised Washington when he attended last Saturday's White House Correspondents' Association dinner. Snow has said he feels pretty good, considering the treatment, though it's unclear how often he will handle questions in the White House briefing room.

I really respect this guy. From the pictures I saw, he has really been through a rough time, but wanting to get back to work shows his character.

I hope you’re right. This is good news for a change, I hope he’s up to it - WH press secretary has got to be one of the hardest jobs in the world, the heavy contact with the MSM.

Tony is a wonderful fellow and 11 years ago this past Sunday became the first host of Fox News Sunday. That was April 1996 and the first time I heard of Tony Snow.
In my opinion, his best ever FNS performance was in 1998 when he absolutely decimated Lanny Davis who had been shilling for the Clintons all over TV without challenge. Tony put Lanny in his place, prompting threats from the Clinton WH to boycott Fox in the future.
Since then I listened to him as a substitute host for Rush Limbaugh, and later on his own radio show.
I looking forward to seeing him recovered and back in the WH!

Awesome! I had him in the grave a few weeks ago, and now he’s coming back to work! Shows what I know, which obviously isn’t much.
Of course this is coming from someone who had a co-worker convinced they were facing imminent death after they tore a muscle in their leg and had some shortness of breath with some dizziness from apparent anxiety from the pain. I had them in the ER fearing a pulmonary embolism had happened.

Seconded, in spades. Tony Snow is a class act in every sense of the word...and, essentially, far too good a man for the Potomac Swamp he is forced to navigate.

In a related story, Hillary Klintoon said she also has cancer but it is treatable and no real threat to her health before 2016. She also said she has found that several of her ancestors were Arabic.

Snow is the best White House Press Secretary in my 45 years. He could probably combine that post with that of Communications Director and greatly improve the Administration.

Good work Tony.
Had not heard a peep on this wonderful news - even on Fox!
Obviously good news about President Bush’s Press Secretary is not as important as Rosie quitting, Imus getting fired, Alec Baldwin’s rant and other assorted garbage.
