"Guns and fuzzbusters are not condoned up nort." I once got stopped in Virginia, driving up I-95 to Washington, D.C. The highway patrolman says, "I'm gonna have to confiscate that device on your visor!" I said, "You are going to confiscate my garage door opener?" Then he shrugged his shoulders and walked away.

I will have to admit that I once cleaned out some of my father’s stuff from a tool box and in sorting it I left two shot gun shells in my car tool bag. I recalled it after I was driving inside of of place where I believe that is contraband. But, a loaded pistol in your carryon? Give me a break.

how much of a space cadet do you have to be? I know a lawyer that did that. It's not that uncommon.

"I almost drove into Canada one day, my wife asked if the truck was 'clean'."Yea, but I bet you never tried to drive your truck onto a plane.

Oh, you are ahead of me because the first year I lurked FR it was behind a firewall and I didn’t want to register from work. The longest active, I think is Kathy in Alaska who is User Number 14. She registered in November 28, 97. I imagine there are others that go back with Jim earlier,, but that is one of the earliest user numbers that is still active.

So what ever happened to Webb’s aide? That story evaporated like the morning dew.

In response to this very series event:
The NRA sent out a press release stressing the importance of proper handling of one's firearm.
Gun Owners of America issued a release denouncing the NRA as pansies and endorsing David Huckabee for President.

Dunno. I just remember that there was a politician who tried to get onboard a plane with a gun.

Attention fact checking department: Glocks use magazines, not ‘clips’.

“Of course it’s a garage door opener, officer. If it was a radar detector, we wouldn’t be having this conversation.”
“I guess you’re right. Say, why is it buzzing and flashing?”
“Must be a garage door going by!”

Folks, if youre about to take an airplane trip, empty your bag(s) fully and then start packing... That's always my first step before packing. Also, remember to check your pockets. (Ya got any empty brass in the pocket of that coat you wore last hunting season??)
