Words of wisdom....
I was, oddly enough, talking about this very thing with my sister, a church musician, today. She was talking about how badly behaved Catholics are - they shoot out the door right after Communion or leave before the priest has said the final blessing, they chew gum during Mass, they dress as if they were going to clean out the garage or go to the beach, and then complain when their pastor or bishop reminds them to be more respectful in their dress.
The only people who still seem to have some respect for tradition and courtesy are folks in the military. And of course we all know what modern Western society thinks about the military...
I’m not advocating a hide-bound, rigid society. But a little respect and traditional decorum could only improve things.
