Document http://www.ctc.usma.edu/aq/AFGP-2002-601693-Trans.pdf which is still up on the Harmony Data Base website is a captured Al Qaeda document in Afghanistan and shows without any doubt that Aymen Al Zawahiri who is the Bin Deputy and the so called Al Qaeda Brain had visited Iraq as well as he had visited Iran. The document does not indicate which year he did the visit but it is for sure after the year 1995 based on the context of the document. Other reporting from different sources said that there is an indication that Zawahiri visited Iraq in 1998, and this document confirms that he indeed visited Iraq. The document refers to him as Aymen but it is very clear he is Aymen Al Zawahiri because document mentioned that Aymen was the leader of Jihadists in Peshwar Pakistan and indeed Aymen Al Zahiri left Egypt in 1985 after his release from prison and went to Peshawar Pakistan to organize and lead some islamic terrorists there.
Saddam regime had established relations to Al Qaeda, and this is yet another important smoking gun about this relation. We have posted before on FR the Iraqi document that talked about a meeting between Bin Laden and the Iraqi Intelligence per Saddam authority where the meeting took place in Sudan in 1995. Only very few regimes had relation with Al Qaeda and Saddam regime was one of them. After 9/11 the President was absolutely right in removing this terrorist regime and the whole world is a better place without it.
This document is still up running on the harmony data base as you see in the link and it posted in both Original Arabic and its English translation. The Harmony Data Base list the captured AL Qaeda documents from Afghanistan published by The Combating Terrorism Center at West Point and it is different from the Docex/FMSO website of the Iraqi documents that was unfortunately shut last November.
I am very surprised that no one else in the Intelligence Community picked up on the content of this document that shows Ayam Al Zawahiri visit to Iraq. In fact the Senate Intelligence Committee per the influence of the democrats went all the way to deny that such a visit took place despite that they were reporting about it.
This is the SMOKING GUN.
Below are some excerpts form the document:
" ..Some of them went to Saddam; others went to Iran and so on . When the rest knew that AYMEN is the leader, and at the same time he and the others knew of all the people that had been arrested during the past seven months and the government did not announce that until it gathered them and named the organization Talae Al-Fath This is what happened on the outside of unbelievable events. AYMEN went to Iraq and Iran, and now he told Abu Mujahid Al-Filistini that he regretted writing Al Hasad Al Mur (Bitter Envy) and thinks that he rushed in ."
I just found this that give an absolute proof that Ayman refered to in the document is Ayman Al Zawahiri.
Among al-Zawahiri's works is a scathing attack on the moderate philosophy of the Muslim Brotherhood, titled Al Hasad al-Murr: al-Ikhwan al-Muslimoun fi Sittin Aman (The Bitter Harvest: The Muslim Brotherhood in Sixty Years). And that is from http://www.stratfor.com/products/wtr/read_article.php?selected=Terrorism%20Intelligence%20Report&id=239982
Therefore the document which says that "Ayman is the Author of AL Hasad Al Mur (The Bitter Harvest)" is for sure Aymen Al Zawahiri.
Admin: Is there a way you can include this in the body of the original thread to further proof that this man mentioned in the document is for sure Aymen Al Zawahiri. That is the SMOKING GUN DOCUMENT and if all possible to move it to the breaking news section. Thank you very much.
" We have irrefutable proof that Al Zawahiri visited Iraq in 1998 and that Saddam intelligence met with Bin Laden in Sudan in 1995 per the authority of Saddam". I think this would have gone a long way to prove that Saddam regime is a terrorist regime who had dealings with Al Qaeda and that after 9/11 such a terrorist regime must go.
Just doing my little duty Tx. This particular document is extremely important.
LOL..oh, yes, I do believe it is QUITE important.
However...at the same time you are doing this...the House and Senate are getting ready to hold hearing after hearing about how Bush and Cheney and Condi and Rummy and Rove LIED to get us into Iraq...pfffffffft
along with the terror bases in Iraq prior to the war...it’s obvious that Saddam was helping with the training of radical Islamists. Just the darkside trying to cast doubt on a war we have to fight...that’s much of the msm and the liberals; unwitting dupes. They don’t know how confused they really are. If it wasn’t for our military we and they could say goodbye to any kind of a decent life!
Traitors and liars will do what they can do best, betray the nation and lie to the American people, that is the democrat party and their media.
Nice find!
Project for New American Century: Allawi on Iraq and al Qaeda
I would like to draw your attention to a May 23, 2005 Agence France-Presse (AFP) article, Al-Qaeda Number Two Visited Saddams Iraq: Former PM. AFP reported on a recent interview that former Iraqi Prime Minister Iyad Allawi gave to the Saudi newspaper Al-Hayat. According to Allawi, bin Ladins top lieutenant, Ayman al-Zawahiri, visited Baghdad in September 1999, and al-Zarqawi entered Iraq probably around the same time, began to set up cells, and also forged links with Ansar al-Islam. AFP further reported:
Allawi, a former Baathist dissident who lived in exile at the time, said he had confirmation of Zawahiri's visit to Iraq and that the fugitive Egyptian Islamist had entered under an assumed name during the ninth Islamic popular congress held in Baghdad in September 1999. Islamists who led terrorist networks in the world met on the sidelines of the congress, he said. Allawi said Saddam's regime maintained contacts with militant groups via one Faruk Hijazi, who was eventually named ambassador to Turkey and then to a (North African) country. He said Hijazi was arrested after the fall of Saddam's regime (in April 2003) while trying to infiltrate into Iraqi territory.
Allawis comments, if accurate, build upon the work of the September 11 Commission Report, which stated:
In March 1998, after Bin Ladins public fatwa against the United States, two al Qaeda members reportedly went to Iraq to meet with Iraqi intelligence. In July, an Iraqi delegation traveled to Afghanistan to meet first with the Taliban and then with Bin Ladin. Sources reported that one, or perhaps both, of these meetings was apparently arranged through Bin Ladins Egyptian deputy, Zawahiri, who had ties of his own to the Iraqis.
Similar meetings between Iraqi officials and Bin Ladin or his aides may have occurred in 1999 during a period of some reported strains with the Taliban (p. 66).
While the report also stated that to date we have seen no evidence that these or the earlier contacts ever developed into a collaborative operational relationship, commission chairman Thomas Kean was quick to note that there was no question in our minds that there was a relationship between Iraq and al Qaeda. Allawis remarks, should they hold up to scrutiny, would suggest a more substantial relationship between Iraq and terror groups than is usually portrayed in the major media.
(Additional information on Iraqs ties to al Qaeda may be found in our report, Iraq: Setting the Record Straight, at www.newamericancentury.org/iraq-042005.pdf.)

Thanks E.
Iraqi documents, dating from January to May 1993, suggest that Baghdad’s
training of terrorists goes back over a decade - at least to the period
following Iraq’s August 1990 invasion of Kuwait. That training was
interrupted by the 1991 war, but appears to have resumed not long
afterwards.
These documents, leaked by a Pentagon official to Scott Wheeler of Cybercast
News Service, are posted on its Web site. Bruce Tefft, a retired CIA
counter-terrorism official who worked on Iraq; MEMRI’s Nimrod Raphaeli;
Middle East scholar Walid Phares; and this author have all expressed their
confidence in the documents’ authenticity. They are on official Iraqi
letterhead and are essentially a 40-page correspondence between Iraqi
intelligence and Saddam’s office.
Responding to a request from Saddam, M-14, the division of Iraqi
intelligence responsible for training and conducting special operations,
produced a report dated April 1, 1993. The seven page document lists 100
“Arab fedayeen,” whom it had trained in Iraq during the fall of 1990.Their
nationalities include a wide swath of the Arab world: Palestinians, Syrians,
Lebanese, Egyptians, Moroccans, Tunisians, Sudanese, and Eritreans, who are
not usually considered Arab.
One important relationship discussed in the documents is Iraq’s support for
the militant domestic opponents of the Egyptian government, a key Arab
member of the 1990-91 coalition against Iraq. Three weeks prior to the
Persian Gulf War, on December 24, 1990, Iraqi intelligence concluded an
agreement on a plan of sabotage against Cairo with a representative of the
Egyptian Islamic Group, whose leader, Shaykh Omar Abdul Rahman, was
subsequently tried and convicted for terrorism in New York. Those operations
ended with the February 28, 1991, cease-fire, according to these papers.
Excellent work jveritas. You are invaluable.
Dang. Bookmarking.
The importance of this smoking gun document should be known to as many people as possible. If at all possible, can you please place this thread in the breaking news section. It is up to you. Thank you very much.
bump to no. 6!
Maybe the Weekly Standard will pick up on some of this....
I hope so.

Here is the article of Dan Darling as published in the Weekly Standard on February 16 2006 : http://www.weeklystandard.com/Content/Public/Articles/000/000/006/761smqst.asp
I’m sure the white house knows this info...I believe they should hold a press conference all about it to put to rest the Iraq war doubters.
press conference with Condalesa and GW right away!
Good work. Now if only the administration would say something. You can bet the LameStream Media won’t say a friggin’ word about it.
Zawahiri was in Baghdad on Feb 3, 1998. Is this possibly a reference to that trip?
Why do you think the Intelligence Community did not look into the details of this letter?
Sometimes I feel there are many in our government who are working directly to sabotage our nations’ security.
And that is why these things do not get singled out as urgent information!
Excellent. Thank you Chris.
Agree 100% with what you said.
it is very possible.
No Iraq-AlQaeda terrorism link here, move on - nothing to see...
A video tape of Saddam sitting with Bin Laden planning 9/11 terrorist attacks. Short of that they will tell us that Saddam had no relation with terrorism.
So no matter what Republicans bring out as evidence of Saddam continuous work on WMD programs or Saddam strong relation to terrorism, all is not enough for the democrats and their media if it does not meet the above criteria.
Please read my post 84 on why it will not matter to democrats and their media if the President brings this one to the public or many other proofs of Saddam strong relation to terrorism and proofs of Saddam WMD programs.

I totally understand Jveritas frustration when he states the publics understanding of these translations are sloppy for two reasons. These documents are either translated wrong by inexperienced individuals that lack the ability to understand the full language or people are misinterpreting key words or key phrases. I like to sum it up metaphorically by using a humorous ad on YOUTUBE that kind of makes the point. As you watch the video imagine the German Coast Guard guy is translating these documents.
but the press conference wouldn’t be for the die hard liberals; it would be for the people who are constantly bombarded with lies and doubt. Much like what Reagan did by going directly to the people to support his tax cuts.
Sadly your evaluation of the predictament are probably quite accurate. The demos know they have the backing of most of the world news services. Why would they want to cave in and change their agendas for the sake of giving the masses accurate news and editorials. It would go against their prime directive(s).
—They will say How do you know that Bush and Cheney did not send someone to put this forged document in an Al Qaeda camp and claim it is an Al Qaeda document...—
If Bush & Cheney were that devious, they would have “planted” vials of Anthrax in Baghdad 5 years ago...
No less than Former anti-terror chief Richard Clarke was convinced of a Saddam-AQ connection. Does “Boogie to Baghdad” ring a bell?
What the DBM is not reporting ........

Can’t be true.
The Demodogs have assured me it ain’t so.
The Democratic Party abandoned these wars when Kerry became their deemed war hero. It is imperative therefore that the democrats maintain their position and force the President to withdraw the troops.
The WOT is a contradiction for which the democrats cannot win. As did Pharaoh removed Moses name from all Egypt so have the democrats determined for George Bush! They will not allow the US to achieve or even consider the WOT a winnable objective until they have completely and deliberately denigrated everything Bush! Hence the WOT must be extinguished and a new WOT properly designed by the democrats set forth against these enemies.
What will come of this evidence when they fall upon the deaf ears of those presently sitting in Washington?
How will this nation survive with such blinding arrogance willingly exposing the security and future of our nation? The democrats have sacrificed the lives our soldiers, innocent Iraqis, and the future or the Iraqi Government. They have knowingly handed Iraq over to Ahmadinejad and Khomeini consequently leaving Israel destined for full scaled war.
Harry Reid has declared the WOT is Lost and Over. He has declared Gen Petraeus a liar and puppet of the White House. What can anyone do to force these documents and other evidences to be reckoned with?
American Drifter
The Nazis won the propaganda war from 1933-1943 inside Germany and in many other countries in Europe and around the world.
The traitors and their media cannot be convinced about anything good regarding this war even if God himself told him so. Their hate for President Bush has blinded their hearts, minds, and souls. They simply cannot accept the truth because the truth will shine upon their very dark world and expose their lies and deceits.
Sorry wrong post, to the wrong person, on the wrong thread :)
Thanks for the post & the ping

Good info, but it won’t matter.
The lies have stood too long without resistance.. this will cause nothing more than a yawn.
