Does getting him a beer count as work?
Have women turned what were once leisure activities into chores?

IF YOU'RE ONE of those women for whom the only hobby more satisfying than aromatherapy wreath-making is complaining about how men don't work hard enough, I'm afraid your lament license has just been revoked.
A new study by researchers in Berlin, Brussels and Texas asked participants in 25 countries to keep track of how they spent their days...

When I retired I became a couch potato.....for about two days, and then I realized that there is a certain "fun" element in work and decided to get busy again before moss started growing on my north side.
If you're the type that has to be doing things and have a certain number of "irons in the fire" to be happy, then retirement is like being stranded alone on desert island....with a case of Viagra.

When the little lady decides to lead the charge to unclog toilets, catch and dispose of mice, fix the dryer, keep old cars running, take the kid to hockey practice at 6:00 am, shovel snow, mow the lawn, rake leaves, clean gutters, deal with insurance issues, get the taxes done, and earn enough money to support her shopping habits, I’ll start paying attention when there is complaining about me not mopping enough.

I don’t think women understand that men can actually turn off their hearing like that. I know it’s possible to hear just Wah wa wah for a good twnty minutes while I spend my time thinking about business matters. All that gets through the audio filters is an occasional -trash - garden- car - are you listening - while you go about trying to figure out how to keep everyone from starving to death.

I don’t get the 7.9 hr average working for men?
Did they average in people that don’t work at all? Male children?
I have always averaged more like 12 hrs working.
As far as the women working in the home, unless they have a batch of kids to watch, or they count sitting in a chair watching TV, I doubt any work over 3 hrs a day.

Agree with you.
Given, promoting gender bigotry & related needless acrimony between the sexes are among the left's principal 'weapons of choice' in its campaign to undermine the traditional family, seriously promoting either is effectively doing our enemies' work for them.
The article was posted as essentially somewhat humorous anti-feminist information & wasn't intended to encourage/promote misogyny or misandry.

LOL. Urban legend. A “monthly” wouldn’t have a specific date (13 May), and no way would a family man staying out all night be tolerated by society at that time.

Loud and clear, Sir, loud and clear. I cannot and do not do any of those things except the part about the mice. Them I catch by hand and put back in the garage where they are supposed to live - don’t trust anyone else to do that. My husband takes care of anything that has moving parts or involves numbers. God love him.

I’ve spent a LOT of time in Asia, covering the ‘60’s thru the ‘00’s.. I’m not a neophyte when it comes to observing attitudes; going from country to country differences in attitudes are very, very obvious. My opinions are certainly not rash; I’m 60.
