A fiery collapse Gas truck crash cuts critical Bay freeway link
Sacramento Bee ^ | April 30, 2007 | Matt Weiser and Dorothy Korber

The driver whose truck sparked a spectacular freeway fire in Oakland early Sunday escaped with his life -- a miracle, police say -- but there will be no escaping the Bay Area traffic nightmare his accident has unleashed...

At the heart of the traffic knot is the MacArthur Maze, a tangle of freeways at the east end of the Bay Bridge and the site of Sunday's crash and fire. At 3:45 a.m., a truck carrying 8,600 gallons of unleaded gasoline overturned on a freeway transition road, creating an inferno with flames leaping 200 feet high and temperatures exceeding 2,000 degrees. The heat weakened the steel supporting a connector road above...

While traffic experts tried to untangle their Maze, law enforcement unraveled the story of how the fire started and engineers explained how a freeway connector can melt.

Miraculously, authorities say, no one died in the early-morning crash. The only injury victim was the truck's driver, 51-year-old James Mosqueda of Woodland, who was burned on his arms, hands and face, according to Officer Trent Cross of the California Highway Patrol...

Cross said Mosqueda was working for Sabek Transportation of San Francisco, heading westbound on Interstate 80 to the southbound 880...

I looked in vain yesterday to find the name of the truck driver. I am posting this because it tells who he is. There was some speculation yesterday about the fact that there were two huge, disruptive truck crashes over the weekend.

More on Mosqueda at this link...

Driver walks away from inferno on Bay Bridge roadway

To my mind the article raises more questions than it answers. Was Mosqueda trucking for ten months, or just had been working for Sobek for ten months? What did the driver do before he went to work for Sobek?

Plus, there is this: “A Sabek company tanker was involved in a crash last June in Vallejo, which spilled up to 4,000 gallons of diesel fuel into two storm drains leading to the Bay. In that crash, the tanker overturned and the driver was not injured.”

I’ve been posting this link for months. It a nice tip o’ the tinfoil hat to all the naysayers who shout down anyone who says that the Muslims are openly attacking in the U.S.
Oakland, Oklahoma, Texas. If anyone can post the maps showing the concentrations of the Muslim population in the US, I’d sure appreciate it.

Meanwhile, I’ll go look for the news reports of Muslims traveling throughout the Mid and Southwest in rented vans, purchasing thousands of disposable cell phones to make IED detonators. It happened last August and September. One Muslim woman caught with over 1,000 Tracfones says she is the victim of racism.

Be interesting to see how diligently the folks in CA pursue this. And if the Federal transpo types will pick up any slack.

OK, now I’m confused.

Is this the SECOND time in history that fire melted steel and concrete, or did the FBI/CIA/Evil Republicans do this one as well, meaning that Rosie’s score card is still at zero?

The second time in history that fire melted steel and BOTH happened during the Bush Administration. Coincidence?

Obviously this was a CIA setup event staged because Rosie was getting too close to the truth.

Very odd: the name Mosque-da. One of life’s coincidences!

“Heat exceeded 2,750 degrees and caused the steel beams holding up the interchange from eastbound I-80 to eastbound Interstate 580 above to buckle and bolts holding the structure together to melt, leading to the collapse, California Department of Transportation director Will Kempton said.”

Impossible. Rosie and other 9/11 conspiracists say so.

Somebody needs to send this bit of information to Rosie O’Donnell and the rest of the 9/11 ‘conspiracy kooks’ that have been insisting for years you cannot melt steel girders.....(eyes rolling)

From www.sfgate.com:
...Cross said Mosqueda had been driving for Sabek Transportation, of South San Francisco, for 10 months. He was carrying 8,600 gallons of gasoline from a Benicia refinery to a gas station on Hegenberger Road in Oakland.

According to a company statement, Mosqueda has a safe driving record. The company described his escape from the wreck as "miraculous" and said it is cooperating with the investigation into the crash. The company also said initial alcohol and drug tests indicate Mosqueda was not under the influence while he was driving.

Cross said Mosqueda has a valid driver's license and no apparent history of driving while under the influence of alcohol or drugs.

"At this point, there is no indication of impairment on the part of the driver, but that will be part of our investigation," CHP Commissioner Mike Brown said.

A worker at a nearby sewage treatment plant, Isaac Rodriguez, said he spotted Mosqueda on the connector ramp above as the fire raged.

"I believe he was in shock. He didn't know how badly he was burned," said Rodriguez, who added that he later regretted not trying to get someone to find Mosqueda and pick him up.

"It looked at one point like he was going to go back to the truck," Rodriguez said. "I told him, 'Get out of there!' "

Mosqueda has worked in the past with the Sacramento Valley chapter of Teen Challenge, an international Christian ministry that runs centers for people struggling with addiction and other "life-controlling" problems, according to Escalante.

"If he walked away, it's only because the Lord was with him," said Escalante...
