Hizbullah won the Second Lebanon War by achieving a propaganda victory over Israel, a Harvard University study has concluded. Aided and abetted by a compliant and credulous press, Hizbullah achieved victory by convincing the world that Israel was the aggressor and that Israel's retaliatory offensive was a "disproportionate" response to the kidnapping and killing of its soldiers.

Hizballah terrorists won the propaganda war because the Hate Israel and Hate American world wide media was absolutely on their side.
PS: Through out history the side that wins the propaganda war ends up losing the real war.

How hard is it to win a propoganda war when the Western press is already 100% behind the Islamonazis to begin with?

Aided and abetted by a compliant and credulous press... Well, then Hezbollah didn't "win" the propaganda war - victory was given to them by International Socialism's public relations arm. ;)

PS: Through out history the side that wins the propaganda war ends up losing the real war.Could you cite some examples there. I can think of plenty of losers who had propaganda but I don't know that they won a propaganda war.

The Nazis in WW II and the Soviets in the Cold War won the propaganda war but ended up losing the wars.Who did they end up winning the propaganda war with? Maybe the Soviets won with the Academics of the 40's and 50's....er and the 60's, 70's and 80's so that's probably a good example. :-) I'm not sure the Nazis really won with anyone, though.

Of course they did...just ask Pelosi.

Don’t forget, after they based themselves in urban neighborhoods, causing Israeli strikes to damage civilian buildings, they embarked on a massive aid and reconstruction project using Iranian money.
They definitely won the PR war, no doubt about it. It couldn’t have been planned better.

The Nazis were very successful in their Propaganda war from 1933-1943 and very unfortunately they convinced the Germans and many other people in Europe and the world that they were right. In fact Josef Gobbles is still considered one the best propagandists in history.

Joseph, with all the talent residing in this country, it’s just sad that a similar effort hasn’t been launched in support of our country. Instead of focusing on Bush, we should all be focused on the terrorists.

The major problem my FRiend is that liberals and their media hate President Bush more than they hate the terrorists. It is very sad but that is the truth.
