Got one of those idiotic letters from the RNC begging for money. This is the reply they will be getting. Do you suppose 10 million of these MIGHT get their attention and let them know we're mad as hell and aren't going to take it any more?

Here's the problem. My post actually happened as described......your post appears to be filled with an imaginary future of strange musings that are beyond bizarre.....

Yep, even our freedoms and those of our grandkids (I’ve got 6 and I’m not sure if America will last long enough for them to reach my age).

The point is that if America the IDEA has failed, what the hell’s the point of saving America the PLACE if it is no longer distinguishable from every other place where MEN rule other men.
It’s the junior senator from Florida, Mel Martinez. I am not a fan of his, he seems to me to be Republican in the faintest sense of the word.
He is one of the last people I would have put in this position were I the one making the appointment. We need someone who is well known and a fighter.

But to be fair, at least some of the credit should go to the dummycrats, the MSM, and our own uneducated, lazy, apathetical, and very often just plain stupid general populace.

Yours is a plausible scenario. What will emerge from the chaos will be a a very different America. Whether for better or worse, only time will tell.
While Mike Savage is a bit ofa nutbar, his slogan, “Borders, Language and Culture” is right on the money.
You could just find a picture of a spine and send that.
But don't send it to the fundraisers, they will just pitch it. Instead, send it to your own Congressman or your Senators. It will get more attention there.
Isn't the reason we do what we do to prevent the "worse" part, and strive for the "better"?

Exactly what would have to happen in the field of illegal immigration before folks should restart sending money to the RNC?
Would a 15% increase in deportations suffice? 50%? 75%? 100%? 300%? Or would 3% be enough?
The problem with hardlines on donating money is you paint yourself into a quantitative corner. Money is about numbers. Maybe you send 10% more than in the past if there is a 10% increase in deportations. Or if you are from DU, you demand that every single illegal be deported before you send a single dollar to the RNC. At maximum efficiency this would require 20 years at least, and within 2 years the Democrats will have total control of the government and shut down all deportations.
Everyone needs to think carefully about their sufficiency criterion for sending money. If it’s too high, the goal will never be achieved. In fact, if it’s too high, all illegals will become legal American citizens within about 19 months when Dems take total control.

I will send them money when they support the causes I am interested in. Right now they are doing nothing. If the presidential candidate is one I can honestly support I will send money...if they develop a backbone about illegal aliens invading our country I will send money......if they continue to disappoint me I will send nothing.

Well, “they” don’t create the presidential candidate. You do. If your preferred candidate doesn’t win the nomination, a true conservative is accountable for his own failures — and that failure would be yours. You didn’t persuade enough people. You didn’t fund raise enough. You didn’t prepare enough position papers and travel to your candidate’s campaign to get them embraced — and if embraced those papers didn’t persuade the voters. The RNC does not annoint a presidential candidate. The voters elect one. You have every opportunity to achieve victory in that regard, or failure, and what happens is your doing, not theirs.
As to illegals and invasion, as I said in the original post, money is about numbers. You are obligated to quantify your position. How much deportation earns them how much contribution? What % increase in deportation equates to how many dollars will you send them.
Money is about numbers. Those who want to withhold contributions from the RNC because of displeasure over illegal immigration need to quantify what progress in deportations equates to how many dollars. And refer back to the original post to see what happens if the performance curve insisted on is too steep.
The ONLY one out there campaigning for an end to this is Duncan Hunter. I CAN choose to give my money and support to him and to diss the GOP any day I want. I have been increasingly disappointed in GW Bush regarding our borders. The only thing Bush has done to make me proud is the SCOTUS appointments he made. Their recent vote on the partial birth abortion ban is heartening. Other than that, I remain disappointed.
As a resident of NY with Elliot Spitzer in charge with a democratic state government I am terrified.
So, where does that leave me? Looking hard at new candidates.
The ONLY one out there campaigning for an end to this is Duncan Hunter. I CAN choose to give my money and support to him and to diss the GOP any day I want.
