Even Tenet figured it out. To this day about the only people left who think Madrid/Oslo/Arafat was a good idea are Carter, Baker and Bush I who considers it a highlight of his Presidency.

Even Clinton admits we were screwed.

Tenet said something right, at least.

“Arafat always wanted one more thing, and one more thing was never enough because what he really wanted was for the peace process to be ever-active and eternally unresolved,” according to Tenet.”

And himself in power, which scheduled elections which he was certain to lose were coming...voila, the “Second Intifada.”

Mugabe and Chavez have done the same, though with tension and fixed elections.

Understand Tenet was paid $4 million to write his book to tell the world “it’s not my fault”. Go figure! I’d tell the world the same thing for $4 million.

Arafat - the most frequent visitor to Clinton’s White House. Well, maybe second to Monica, but those weren’t official visits.

Despite his critique of Arafat, Tenet acknowledges that on a personal level, "I couldn't keep myself from liking him."

Arafat was directly responsible for the deaths of American citizens. My sentence in such a book would have been "I could barely keep my hands from his throat." Tenet is a pussy.

Yeah - I heard it was Arafat who stuffed highly confidential National Security related files in his underwear.

I am getting a real kick out of watching Dennis Miller talk about this on O’Reilly right now.

Gee, ya think? Arafat was a roadblock on the long and winding road to peace in the middle east? Brilliant deduction there, Georgie boi!
