Kyoto is nothing other than a Cap and Trade Scheme designed to paralyze the US economy for the benefit of China.

And India. Neither country had any greenhouse gas limits, and China is about to start producing more than us (with less than 1/4 of the economic output). So much for the "evil, greedy capitalists" argument.

“US ‘biggest culprit’ of climate change”

I don’t think so.

“Culprit” implies somebody who has little concern about the consequences, and goes ahead and does it anyway. The fact is, the US IS doing something about gaseous emissions, not all of which, by the way, are pollutants. Smokestack scrubbers take out virtually all the sulfur dioxide and particulate matter, and almost all of the nitrous and nitric oxides. Carbon monoxide, a poisonous, colorless and odorless gas that would NOT be identified by visual observation of smokestacks, but it is eliminated by catalytic conversion, changing it into carbon dioxide.

And no matter HOW many times assertions are made to the contrary, carbon dioxide is NOT a pollutant. It is part of the carbon cycle by which vegetation converts sunlight, water and carbon dioxide into carbohydrates and oxygen, two things of which are absolutely vital to maintain the life of humanity, among other things.

The US is being at least moderately responsible for cleaning up the atmosphere, land and water as we go, whereas there are other countries (do we HAVE to name them?) that have virtually no conscience about how badly they degrade the environment, and had been doing it for GENERATIONS without exercising the least responsibility for their actions.

Oh, I forgot - and it also uses slave labor, occupies Tibet, supplies nuclear technology and weapons to Iran...its a top-flight nation according to those who hate the US.

The Rovian Weather Machine (Katrinus Max is its code name) could have the side effect of tworking Earth’s orbit- but then how would Malinkovitch written about it at the turn of the 20th century?

The US is ignoring pseudo-science, not science.

Actually, the WWF conservation nuts took the WWF wrestlers to court and forced them to change to WWE (World Wrestling Enterprises). Nice going WWF dorks!

Nothing like biting the hand that feeds you...
85% of WWF funding comes from the US.
