Kinda funny because my kid sister is a prof there and is as about as liberal as you can get-loves the ‘Times’ and the ‘Sun’
We definitely have our share of liberal profs here but at least it’s not as bad as civilian campuses.
I do believe that these people will have ruined their own lives.

I see your point. And I agree. I was just making the point that the “ruining” part already happened. Making public the ruin is just part two.
Repenting being a prostitute isn’t that simple. I know two women who were prostitutes (way long ago) and it haunts them, even though they have greatly changed. One has managed to overcome it more than another. And they didn’t practice it for long.
Prostitution ruins lives even if it’s secret.
Ah, but there's a problem, isn't there? To build a case against the johns, she'd have to admit she was running a prostitution service, which she denies. So, the solution is to give it to the press, where those people will be found guilty with no trial, no due process and no way to defend themselves, because no one will believe them. And from what I can tell, most Americans are voyeurs who can't wait to see who's on the list.
It's quite a spectacle.

If someone either hires herself (or himself) out as a prostitute, or pays money for the hire, he or she should expect that at some point in the future their actions may be exposed to public view. That’s just one of the risks.
How did it affect them? I remember the story of that Capitol Hill congressional aide who was doing this on the side. I have a feeling there may be more of this going on than most of us realize.

When I said that making this public is no big deal, I meant from the liberaltarian POV. If it’s okay and should be legal, then accordingly, it should be no big deal if it’s made public.
Look at Barney Frank - had a homosexual prostitute ring running out of his residence, with his live-in boyfriend running it. No one in DC apparently thought it was worth noticing.
Says a lot about the culture of DC.
Anyone who prostitutes herself (leaving the homosexual angle out of it) is selling her body for strange men to use, for money. Basically being a paid sex slave for a short while. It is the ultimate devaluing of sex and intimacy. It’s becoming personalized kleenex and a hand. It generates a feeling of deep shame and worthlessness and makes it very hard to form any lasting bond with a man later.
And if a prostitute is not conscious of this shame, it means her heart has become so calloused she just can’t feel the pain. A large number of them are drug addicts and alcoholics - they need to be to carry on.

I haven't seen anywhere where she has denied running an 'escort service', not [as you state] a 'prostitution' ring. One is quite legal, the other not so.
Only by inference do you equate the two.
If there was no prostitution going on, then the customers did nothing wrong and should not be dragged through what is about to happen to them.
