Prayer Request for Ladyinred [Sad update in post #972]
5/5/07 | JustAmy

Posted on 05/05/2007 9:08:19 PM PDT by JustAmy

Ladyinred has been diagnosed with lung cancer and it is bad. It has been there for some time with no symptoms. She has taken a couple of Chemo treatments but they will not be able to cure this. They hope to stop the growth for as long as possible.

Please also remember Chadsworth in your prayers, as he is taking this very hard.

In a note to me, ladyinred said ..... "I would appreciate your prayers of course, as that is all that can really help me."

As Chadsworth told me, the only thing that will make a difference is a miracle through the power of prayer.

Thank you for your prayers!

Amy & All - (especially the corner crowd flag wavers) - THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR ALL THE PRAYERS, GOOD WISHES AND KIND WORDS. No better people than FReepers - anywhere.

WE HAVE HOPE. We know God is in control-whatever the out come.

Here is the readers digest version of LadyInReds plight. The cancer was discovered during a trip to the doctor which turned out to be pneumonia, a suspicious lesion was noticed and a CT revealed a bronchial tumor. Not being happy with our local pulmonologists, I made an appointment at Stanford Medical Hosp. A fantastic medical facility. Several tests revealed a Stage IV condition in her left lung. We had a super oncologist (Heather Wakelee, graduated magna cum laude in molecular biology at Princeton) who develop the chemotherapy program. LiR was going to participate in a trial study using a new drug but with the side effects and distance to travel it was decided to transfer the treatment to Fresno where the travel is not such a burden. We could not do the new drug trial since we would not be at Stanford.

So, in summary, we had the diagnosis and chemo program worked up by Stanford Medical Hospital, our local oncologist is in communications with Dr. Wakelee and he is administering her program to Connie. We have high hopes that the chemo will put the cancer in remission. Radiation is not feasible since the stage IV is throughout her left lung, requiring too much radiation. Surgery is not possible because of a bronchial tumor at the point where the bronchial tube divides between the lungs.

GOD IS IN CONTROL - HIS WILL BE DONE!

Thanks again to ALL

Chad

We have high hopes that the chemo will put the cancer in remission.

As do I/we/all. Prayers for you both.

Please take a look at these two prior posts.

Grape Seed Extract Halts Cell Cycle (92% reduction of tumors in two days in once cell line):

http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/1738076/posts

Pro-vitamin E Shown To Be Active Against Breast Cancer Cells (50% reduction in tumors in 3 weeks):

http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/1752101/posts

I’ve taken over 100, 100 mg grape seed extract pills within one day with no negative side-effects, with an extra 50 in the following day. You can get these at Sam’s Club for $16 for 300 of them. If I had cancer, I’d buy at least two bottles and down at least 100 of the pills a day for a week and see what happened on the follow up visit.

The unusual form of Vitamin E is much harder to find, and the commercial form is not as effective as the specific version used in the study. Normal vitamin E does nothing and “Ester-E” is not the form tested, either.

Both items restore the cell’s ability to self-destruct through “apoptosis”. These treatments do nothing to normal cells and are, in fact, antioxidants.

LadyinRed, I will pray for you, too.
