Hi everyone. For a variety of reasons, we are cutting back to one Dose per weekend, except for weekends when there is significant news -- such as foreign trips -- involving the President and First Lady.

There are two main reasons for this. The first is that, as the Bush 43 presidency is gradually winding down, there are seldom any new photos available on weekends any more.

The second is that there never were Dose threads on weekends until, several years ago, the custodians asked if I'd be interested in starting them. I'm truly grateful for the opportunity and enjoy doing them very much. Unfortunately, my schedule has changed a lot in the past year. I used to be able to plan and set up a Saturday thread in advance by searching for older photos and building story lines around them. But that's become impossible to do now. Also, because I live in the Pacific time zone, in order for the Dose to go up before it's too late in the East, I need to set it up in the middle of the day where I live. It's become harder for me to devote considerable chunks of my weekend days to this. So I will do a full Dose thread on Sundays, and only do a Saturday thread when, as mentioned, there is a significant event to cover.
