Bush’s daughter Barbara is bringing a date...hmmmm?
David Gregory??? I’d give that mutt a doggie bag.
WH CoS Josh Bolten bringing his mother..nice bpoy...
White Tie & Tails *ping*
Nancy Reagan’s last chance for an appearance...Laura Bush wearing a turqoise Oscar de la renta...can I get Joan River’s gig at the red carpet?
Don Imus won’t be attending????
Laura looks lovely and our president comfortable in his “tails”.
Thanks for the thread. It’s been a while since we’ve had one of these dinners ;-)
Powell’s still getting free meals....
Is there a live stream somewhere?
Oh WOW..The winning Jockey from the Kentucky Derby and his beautiful fiance are there!
The President and First Lady look stunning . . . the Queen looks ‘regal’ . . . What a beautiful evening for this event!
C-Span2 is carrying this event live — on-line and on TV
My wife and I are watching now...kinda cool ;o)
Wouldn’t it be grand to join them at this dinner. That would be so awesome to sit down with the President and the Queen...
My daughter and I were just sharing this very sentiment!
Richard Wolffe... I believe this guy is from Newsweek.
Definitely not a Bush fan.
Harry Reid was invited, but declined.
Can he get any lower?????
4-1 Gregory makes an ass of himself.
I am looking forward to seeing it tonight at 11:00 PM on CSPAN. So glad they are going to show it again, as I can’t watch it on CSPAN 3 now. My slow dial-up makes it just too painfully slow to watch!
I know you love this stuff ;-)
No bets here...in due time...in due time LOL
CSPAN was interviewing some young couple and it panned over to the door and Nancy Reagan was coming in.
The camera quickly went back to the couple being interviewing. You could not hear what they were saying.
When Mrs. Reagan was walking slowly down to the door to the event, the camera's were on her and neither one of the "hosts" said a word.
Finally the man mentioned that there was Nancy Reagan. Then they started talking about something else.
Most other people coming in they commented on.
I wonder if he'll speak French??
The man is a bass turd.
Laura Bush is SO classy. I love her. :)
Man...after hearing her give the run down of tonights entertainment and dining experience, I’m SO jealous...
Now, don’t go insulting turds. ;^D
Laura mentioning they had to talk Mr. Bush into wearing the white tie...her and Dr. Rice... :)
Wouldn’t you just love to be a fly on the wall during one of these things?
I’d even offer to serve, but I’m guessing the Queen doesn’t need soup spilled all over her gown ;^D
Ganged up on him huh? LOL
Can’t wait to see what Condi wears....
Damn how in the world didnt that china get stolen when the Clintons left. They better check to make sure it is real gold.
Nancy will be seated on one side of President Bush and The Queen on the other.
I hope the evening isn't too much for her.
The Queen is so cute with her pocketbook :-)
This is an AWESOME entrance for the President and Queen . . . Laura look beautiful per usual!!
On the menu tonight:
Spring Pea Soup and Fernleaf Lavender
Chive Pitzell with American Caviar
Newton Chardonnay ‘Unfiltered’ 2004
Dover Sole Almondine (Roasted Artichokes, Tequillo Peppers and Olives)
Saddle of Spring Lamb Chanterelle Sauce
Fricassie of Baby Vegetables
Peter Michael ‘Les Pavots’ 2003
Arugula Savannah Mustard and Mint Romaine (champaign dressing - trio of farmhouse cheeses)
Schramsberg Brut Rose 2004
Now I know why I didn’t get an invite...I don’t care for lamb.
Texas style :-)
I'd sure like to know what "THE QUEEN" is carrying around in her pocketbook. She never let's it out of her grasp, LOL!
Gee, we had the same thing for dinner.
I think my invitation got lost in the mail.
Did Bush really say the Queen was here in 1776?
Sure wish ‘someone’ could post pictures for those of us without the ways & means of watching this...please :)
Yes he did. I believe it was at the garden lunch today. He stopped, corrected himself, looked sheepishly over at the Queen, then turned back to the microphone and said something to the effect: She gave me the kind of look a mother gives a son.
