Funny thing... My wife told me the same thing a couple of days ago!
Suzy — Don’t get too excited. He was invited, but said he’s too set in his ways for a white tie dinner.
At least, that was the news today on FOX.
No, the new President of France.
Have a little self-respect, people.
P.S. These people (and those similar to them) have almost NO right to argue against Americans of Mexican descent marching in ethnic parades or American of Italian descent waving around Italian flags. So much for assimilation.
At least Cheney looks as though he has a more proper attitude:
.....though a sneer seems to be almost a permanent fixture on his face.
P.P.S. Philip in the earlier post, rather than Phillip.
Would I support him?
Not a freakin' chance, no offense there...
Don't take much to "Royalty" either way. Queen's welcome to visit, I don't have a problem with people visiting a free country. 'long as she respectfully understands we don't have royalty here.
Same goes fer Jeb. I don't respect "Kennedy's" and the Bush thing was a fluke at the right time because the alternatives were gore and that mr. Heinz/Bunny/thingy guy (think he wuz in Vietnam or something...they didn't like him either)
President Bush was the best we had to offer the nation at the time. If the rats hadn't been so completely excellent at treason, President Bush could have been the greatest President of our time.
Sadly, he "misunderestimated" the enemy at home.
Won't chance his brother doing the same. Time for new blood. Not now, not ever. Sorry, Jeb...run for the senate. Be smart like Rudy wasn't...
What time is dinner?
I’ll gladly wear a tiara! :-)
I had a freaking banana for dinner.
They're like
I have a wonderful book by the white house historical association. It’s a bit dated maybe it sez “...the State Dining Room is prepared for a formal dinner of 111 guests.”
Looks like the plateau is from the Monroe administration, along with a few other items. Now, 134 guests? In the photo it looks elbows to elbows at 111. I wonder how they made more room?
I got it from the front page of Drudge
They've been together for years.
I'd rather have a car dealer--I'd rather have the guy who cleans out the car dealer's cars every day--than the Hollywood cokeheads that Clinton used to have at his seemingly-weekly state dinners.
Clinton always had an obvious, desperate need for approval by the kind of people who used to be called "the swells." One of the things I like most about GWB is that he lacks this unfortunate quality.
[Who Got to Meet the Queen]
I have, several times. I played polo at the Guards club in England in the 80’s. Met her, the whole family, even played polo with them while Charles and Diana’s boys (William and Harry) “watched” my Old English Sheepdog Nanny.
She has the most piercing blue eyes you have ever seen, looked right through you - and a warm smile. I always got the impression she was someone that even back then had seen it all.
Never mind! Looks like the link from Drudge.

“Special question — Is Jeb Bush a possible candidate for the 2008 Presidential election?”
No, It’s a Clinton next and then a Bush.
Would you support him?
No. And No.
