I’ve been a member of the armed forces, active and retired for about 60 years. During that time I have been on military installations worldwide. All were protected by armed security personnel. Base access was fairly easy. Combat zones are an obvious exception. Reports of these guys casing Ft Dix proves this. They could have inflicted heavy casualties if not exposed. The reasons are simple. First, There are many target rich places. Second, the general base personnel are not armed. If they do have weapons they usually do not have ammo. Even a Ft Bragg attack might work before heavily armed troops could respond. We are talking about a highly dedicated enemy on a suicide mission.

A side notes: three of these guys were illegal aliens. How about the border security issues? Also makes pro gun control arguments seem stupid. When even our armed forces are not armed on their own ground it gets scary.

We’ve had several reports of illegal alien Albanians crossing the southern border.

Good comment here: “The OTMs the OBL doesn’t want to talk about. Undocumented terrorists.

The bomb was specifically targeted for one person. It does not appear to be a terror plot.

great post,informative!

I just want people to know here in NJ they are reporting this as ISLAMIC TERRORISTS (not just albanians disgruntles or whatever)....I was glad to hear that on the radio!

This also shows that one person/or two can make a difference, we all need to be the eyes and ears helping out our national security.

And Bush’s open border policy.

While that might not have helped much, I'll bet you the price of a beer that they were in the US prior to Jan 2001.

Sorry for the mis-identification of the Albanians. Thanks for clearing that up. I never understood that campaign except it seemed to that we had jumped into an internal religious conflict without knowing that the Albanian Terrorists were pulling the strings. From reading the news reports and their identification of the players, they seem to interchange the ethnicities and stick to Christian bad, Muslim good.

So who was it that was sheltered at Camp Dix in 1999 during the “NATO” (Unilateral) bombing?

You may not want to make that bet because you do not know what kind of beer I drink. Whether they were here before or after 2001 doesn’t matter - the fact still remains that they are walkin into our country with ease.

That doesn’t make much sense. Why would anyone target a hotdog salesman? And better yet, how did they know he (and no one else) would try to pick up the bomb?
