My spouse was watching "Adult Swim" on the Cartoon Network this past week. They ran a commercial promoting their web site, complete with fun little games a visitor can play.
One particular game they promoted was called "Bible Fight". The video clip of the game they showed depicted an 2-D animated Jesus Christ "fighting" against his mother Mary and the baby Jesus.
Mary fought with kicks, and Jesus Christ used his cross to hack Mary and the baby Jesus up.
I couldn't find a good pic of that, but here is one of Jesus getting ready to fight "Noah" OR "Moses".:
Time Warner, Inc. owns and produces material like this.

Let us imagine a game called "Koran Fight" where Mohammed is depicted chopping up and killing little babies and their moms....
liberals and the press would be all over the corporation that created such a thing!I am irritated by the utter hypocrisy and blatant disrespect for Jews and Christians shown by Time Warner in this instance.
"Adult Swim" got blasted a few weeks ago for a stupid publicity stunt in Boston...this game seems to go beyond the bounds of good taste, at least in my opinion.
Seems to me this is a bit more offensive than "nappy headed hos" or an off-handed remark about Strom Thurmond.

I agree with your bolded words, all religions are equal EXCEPT Christianity, this could and would never happen otherwise - CAIR would be all over it.

Your post reveals a stark difference in the religions themselves. muslims need to riot and terrorize. Jews and Christians are generally secure in their faith.

I wonder if the “Catoon Network” will be playing the new Hammas produced jihad “Mickey Mouse” that premiered this week in the ME?

Yes, Jews and Christians are indeed secure in their faith.
I do think we have an obligation to be engaged in our culture to a degree that we defend our faith and speak up when it is put in a negative or false light.

People excused Time-Warner for their public advertising stunt in Boston because “it’s a real funny cartoon, man”.
I saw on another thread (about the Vegas bombing at the Luxor parking lot) that there are 1,000 bombing incidents a year.
Cannot be too safe in this world. We hear about many “false alarms” but do NOT hear about these thousand bombs going off.

We may not like it (and chances are their target audience does find it funny), but it's great that we live in a country where such things can be made, and people don't get a death sentence handed down by a religious authority.
Chances are, they left Allah out based on sound advice - somebody probably told them "Look at Samon Rushdie, he still has a death sentence hanging over his head from Iran".

I've been wondering the same thing. I was looking for a link on their website to ask them when they would be showing the Koran Fight(sarcasm).
I take it you haven't seen "Moral Orel"? I'm pretty sure some Christian's heads would explode if they had to watch it.

"Mary fought with kicks, and Jesus Christ used his cross to hack Mary and the baby Jesus up." Temporal anomaly?
Also, I'm fairly sure Jesus and Moses are good buds. Luke 9:29-35

I applaud Matt Stone and Trey Parker for attempting to be "equal opportunity offenders" when they tried to depict the Prophet Mohammad (even in a non-offensive manner), even though it was ultimately censored by the cowards at Comedy Central.
Unfortunately the same cannot be said of Adult Swim. They have a claymation program dedicated pretty much entirely to mocking Evangelical Christianity called Moral Orel. It is written and produced by Dino Stamatopoulos, who has shows that he has excellent comedic writing talent in the past. Unfortunately, Orel is not very funny. I've seen most of the episodes and though they also take swipes at Catholics and Jews they've never touched Islam. And I imagine they never will.
I've been a fan of Adult Swim since they started up in 2001 but lately I am finding it hard to support them. Their comedy programming as a whole has been on a sharp decline in recent years, and it seems they waste their already minuscule budget on this kind of stuff. Sigh...
