MAY 10--Director Michael Moore is being investigated by the Treasury Department for traveling to Cuba in violation of a U.S. trade embargo. In a May 2 letter, the Office of Foreign Assets Control informed Moore that he was the subject of a civil investigation stemming from the filmmaker's March trip to Cuba. Moore reportedly traveled there with 9/11 rescue workers who were seeking medical care. The trip was filmed as part of Moore's documentary "Sicko," which examines the U.S. health care industry (and premieres at the Cannes film festival on May 19). In the letter to Moore, a copy of which you'll find below, a Treasury official noted that the department had no record of Moore obtaining a license that authorized him to "engage in travel-related transactions involving Cuba."

I barely got by the title...disgusting to think about!
That title lent horrible images to my mind’s eye.
He’ll just say it was for research, like Pete Townsend, yada, yada, yada...
Nothing like stirring up the press RIGHT BEFORE HIS MOVIE COMES OUT!
I would like to have control of an investigation of that fat piece of crap. I want to know more about his connections to Nick Berg.
Forget about the official letter, Moore is a pig that shoulda been put on a spit and roasted a long time ago.
However, regular citizens are prosecuted and fined for this stuff all the time. Documenting it by taking six people, plus a film crew and staff should warrant a, ummm, heavy penalty on Mr. Mike.
All this does is provide millions in free publicity for his movie and rally ‘roud libs to the cause of their hero.
Yes, I immediately thought of ALIENS (not illegal, the kind from outer space, well, I guess they are illegal too if they don’t have visas, but that’s for another post...) probing Michael Moore, and I almost lost my breakfast! Not that just thinking about Michael Moore does that *anyway*... ;-)

??
EWWWWW!!
hmmm, me thinks he wants the publicity...
I wonder what happens if he does nothing by June 4? I bet nothing.
Precisely what he was hoping for.
This is his PR campaign to win the big award at Cannes...... the scumbag violates US laws, makes a fuss that he is being “investigated” over it, and now he will once again be the darling of the hate-America crowd at Cannes.
not a good idea. you are making the guy a martyr in the cult of liberalism. this is exactly what the creep wants.
Michael Moore definitely deserves "The Big Can Award".
“If you have any questions call Mr. Dickie at....”
He sounds like just the guy to do the ‘probe’.
There were laws against sending big disgusting pieces of crap to Cuba?
Almost fell off my chair when I saw the headlines. About dang time.

I bet Mikey’s mockumentary won’t show this side of Cuba’s “wonderful” health care system.
On or Off Cuba Ping!
I’ll make a few predictions about SpongeMike Sweatpants’ movie right now:
1. He will intimate that the people he took to Cuba were either FDNY or NYPD personnel, when in fact they were not. We will never really learn the true nature of these rescue workers’ duties at Ground Zero.
2. He will not include any interviews with Cuban refugees that say anything negative about Castro’s “health plan.”
3. He will not include any information about Bangor, Maine’s 19 hospitals that Canadians use on a regular basis due to the inadequacies of the Canadian National Healthcare system.
4. Oh, and he will be SUED by some of the best lawyers in the country representing various companies in the Health Care system for libel and slander.
5. This mockumentary will completely DIE at the box office unless the Dumbocrats buy out the house to prop him up.
...Moore is being investigated by the Treasury Department for traveling to Cuba in violation of a U.S. trade embargo...HA! HA!....Hey Fat Butt!, here come the Feds.
PT Barnum Moore deliberately neglected to finish the processing so that this result would happen. He’ll pay a $100,000 fine like the Yankees and get millions in free promotion for his movie.
Didn’t Castro go outside of Cuba for his health services?
That title lent horrible images to my minds eye.
LOL! Yep, that was my first reaction. The act would require shoulder length surgical gloves and a hazmat suit.
And a pointy stick to poke out my mind’s eye.
Why do the words “cattle prod” suddenly bring a smile to my face?
“Uncle Sam Probes Michael Moore
EWWWWW!!”
My thoughts exactly!
