Kosovo to become independent by end of month: US (Fort Dix Gratitude)

"We will be circulating today with our European allies a resolution in the Security Council that we believe will lead to the independence of Kosovo by the end of this month," Burns told journalists in the Croatian capital Zagreb.

"The United States is strongly supporting the independence of Kosovo."

The UN Security Council is set to begin debate soon on two competing texts -- one Western and one Russian -- that will form the basis of a draft resolution on Kosovo's future status.

Burns, speaking after meeting with Croatian Prime Minister Ivo Sanader, also warned against Serbian ultra-nationalists entering a new government.

"As Kosovo becomes independent we Americans want to remain friend with Serbia and we want to have good relationship with Serbia hopefully without the presence of the Radical party in the Serbian government and Serbian parliament," he stressed.

He was referring to ultra-nationalist leader Tomislav Nikolic's election as the country's parliament speaker last week.

"We were very disappointed by the election of mister Nikolic as the speaker of the parliament, we hope it can be reversed. We believe the Radicals are the party of the past, the party of war and war criminals. There is no place for that in modern Europe," Burns said.

He added that the US message to Belgrade is to "form a government that will be fully democratic, fully oriented towards Europe and to a democratic future of Serbia."

Child is named Tonibler to honor legacy of British Premier in Kosovo

Even when Tony Blair leaves office, his legacy and his name will stay alive in one of the most corners of Kosovo. Crediting Blair with helping to stop the brutal Serb forces’ crackdown on independence-seeking ethnic Albanians, the Dajaku family named their youngest son born shortly following the war, after him.

Tonibler Dajaku, now 6, lives with his family in a remote village 65 kilometers west of Kosovo’s capital Pristina.

“We were so happy to be free and well after the war,” said his mother Ajnishahe. “So, we wanted to name our son after Blair because he helped us a lot, he saved us.”

Got to admit that those Albanians know how to do something right — appeal to the vanity of Western politicians.

They name streets after Clinton & Dole, name kids “Amerika” and “Tonibler”. They talk about how “great the American system of government is”. Remember Florin Krasniqi in the film “The Brooklyn Connection” at a fundraiser for John Kerry, while he was surrounded by Holbrooke, Wesley Clark & members of the KLA, he says “What a great country America is, you give politicians money and they do things for you!”

Krasniqi is right — Gee what a country we have become when a few bucks stuffed into the right pockets of our politicians can buy American foreign policy and NATO intervention!

Sick jerks!

The Clinton proteges — “the Albanistas” — are trying to shove this Kosovo indpendence through before another Balkan Muslim declares jihad on America — because when there is a third attack by a Bosnian or Albanian Muslim (and make no mistake, there will be more) by then, Kosovo will be a done deal that won’t be able to be undone.

Well, Serbia can always declare war against the new state.

A friend who wants to steal 15% of your real estate, give it to the murderous thugs and hoping to remain friend. This is comparable to a neighbor plotting a first degree murder of neighbor's child and hoping to remain in good relations with his parents.

Burns is only loudspeaker. Who is the author of this pearl?

Methinks this is one of the lowest points of American foreign policy ever.

It stinks to the high heaven.

What a dumb-dumb policy—support the “independence” of thuggish jihadists who plot to kill us while shouting “we love America”!!!!

Not only should the Serb Radical Party be in power, but we should have an American Radical Party, too!!!

Methinks this is one of the lowest points of American foreign policy ever.

Happily carried on by a Dem and now a Repub administration.

Don't forget the "Albanian Caucus", with Dem and Repub members.

Well, if Serbia has a legitimate claim to the territory, and there is no other alternative, then Serbia must fight. Remember Serbia has an ally in Putin, who is willing to provide them with weapons. Europe will dawdle, and the only thing they and the U.S. will do is evacuate the stabilization force in that case. Who’s going to fight Serbia?

How is this a done deal? The narco parastate Turkey may think so but it is far from done.

Russia will veto and there are others who expressed dissatisfaction:
