Thanks for posting this.

There are certain inevitabilities that go with the recycling/conquest of civilizations, it seems.

Sharing the same lack of ruthlessness required to repel their invaders...

end of discussion..

OK, so how about thinking this through...let’s assume the worst, that we are invaded and taken over. Now what? The invaders have the same problems we do/did.

They took us over by being barbarians, according to this article, but they can’t rule as barbarians. They will have to eventually become us, in order to keep what they took over. Then, we’ve assimilated them.

The whole civilization will not go down together, bits and pieces will survive and keep the faith.

But it will be a long dark night until the world reawakens again.

The world of the Renaissance was so vastly different from the height of the Roman empire, that they would have found few points of reference, if not for the islands of knowledge kept by the Roman Catholic Christian church in all the centuries in between. A lot was lost, but the rebirth was not from a world devoid of all knowledge of what had gone before.

Muslims, too, will become a forgotten and little-practiced figment of history insome future date, as quaint as the worship of Zeus and Thor.

I certainly hope we still have the will to fight.

I frequently tell sceptics about the imminence of Aztlan that their grandkids will be reading the koran in Spanish.

The very least that must be done to halt the Hispanic invasion is the mass enslavement, or execution, of the invaders, which must be followed by an American invasion of Mexico to enforce American language and values upon the Mexicans.

WTF ?!?

I do have a sense of a coming second civil war. The demonrats have turned lose their political correctness to stifle freedom of speech and thought and men and women of good will say and do nothing. The demonrats use their fear mongering of such things as global warming to siphon off wealth and political power while ignoring the real and present dangers. Their class warfare and social programs, especially socialized medicine and government provided "free" healthcare, combined with the inevitable taxation are sold as a way to "punish" the rich but instead enslave the middle class. They and their ideas are the viruses attacking the health of our great nation.

I wish there was a way to shrug as Atlas and disappear among like minded individuals and let the whole mess collapse as all un-natural systems eventually do. Unfortunately, there seems to be no place to go.

The suicidal left has sold their cancerous manifesto to the masses and it has spread to all vital systems. The antibiotics of morality and virtue are no longer allowed to maintain the health of society. Weakened from within, can we stop the unsophisticated, but are overwhelming number of enemies at the gate?

We are at a turning point, but can we save ourselves? I hope so and there are positve signs that this is all part of a greater plan and that we will prevail politically and be able to reverse course. Otherwise, I hope that there will be pockets of sanity where we can band together until the evil consumes itself and we can emerge into the light of a new day.

Interesting read, and I agree with it. Americans not only are selfish and don’t wish to fight militarily, but they are selfishly destroying humanity by destructing the family, abortion our posterity, taking away our protection, forcing and embracing immmoral behavior, etc. All of it will ultimately contribute to our downfall. I honestly will believe that when America is gone, the liberals will be the reason. Perhaps something will shine through their noggins, and they will wake up. Sadly, I don’t think they will.

Whereas migrants from alien cultures have no such concerns; they are among strangers with a different culture. These invaders have not come to improve their host’s society, but their own, at the expense of their host.

Oh, come on. Most immigrants (including my grandparents) came here to better their lives and, in the process, make the U.S. a better place. They wanted a piece of the American Dream. What's different today than a couple generations ago? The pervasiveness of liberal indoctrination and the implantation of PC, multiculti, and moral equivalence concepts into society that prevents assimilation. I believe most immigrants come here (and I know and work with many) come here for the same reasons our ancestors did.

I will grant the author that we have a huge problem with illegal immigration of illiterate people.

There is an alternative proposition: that what we are witnessing is a Darwinian struggle between civilization and barbarity. It would not be the first time.

The irony of such struggle is that by the time it has begun, civilization has already triumphed. And triumphed to such a point that even the barbarians realize they have lost. So it is a futile effort to turn back the clock, to reject the better way, and to prevent others choosing it over barbarism. Only the few who profit from barbarism still support it.

Civilization has also reached a point where even natural forces are much less a threat. And this may be a saving grace.

After WWII, civilization overcame two of the factors that had kept barbarity at bay, starvation and plagues. On their own, this caused a great increase in the raw numbers of peoples living in still barbaric systems. Enough so that by sheer numbers they could menace civilization, the situation we find ourselves in today.

But we are not omnipotent. Influenza and other plagues are still to a great extent beyond our reach in the barbaric parts of the world, though we can much better protect ourselves from them at home. But unchecked through evolution, many are once again becoming a dire threat.

A dire threat to barbarism. Such plagues may do in a few months what we could not accomplish in years.

As a final note, plagues tend to attack from the bottom up in society, eliminating many individuals who are unsuccessful or aberrant. Besides the sick and lame, they also pray on the mentally unbalanced and stupid.

And in doing so, it may in the long run have good implications to our society, as cursed as we are with Moonbats, wackos and lunatics of all stripes.
