Well, yes, he can withhold his signature from the treaty, and he can decline to present it to the Senate, I think.

He can also simply refuse to negotiate it in the first place, and instruct the Foreign Service to give it no countenance.

This puts George Bush squarely on the OTHER SIDE. He is no longer any part of Conservative. Not any. This treaty is more pernicious of American sovereignty and the free market than anything else in the last half century. Do Should we really be obliged to request permission of the UN to use the Oceans? And this starts the principle of UN taxation and UN independence from its members.

We should not give any more authority to the United Nations. As described, this would be a horrible treaty. I know conservatives have been against LOST in the past. I hope his audience set him straight.

"What the heck is up with our Govt?? Has everyone in Washington become so disconnected with the rest of the country they would sell us out?"

That seems to be the case. What with globalization, the NAU,the super highway, etc. we are being sold out. I don't remember voting for these things, anyway.

I have purposly left my “W-04” bumper sticker on my truck just to piss off the leftists. I think it might be time to go scrape it off the window. Between supporting illegals, and being a wimp when it comes to defending and adhering to Republican principles, “W” has turned into a big dissapointment.

This is Very logical if you know Bush is a globalist like his Daddy and brother..

Could be Bush will wait for Hitlery(2008) to amnestyize multi millions of brand new democrats, THAT VOTE democrat.. Him doing that pre-2008 would let the cat out the bag too soon.. Americas Nationalism MUST be dealt with before World Socialism can advance further.. Hitlery WILL WIN 2008 whether by hook or crook.. could be massive voter fraud happened in 2006 too.. to set up 2008..

Funny how republican officials could care less about illegal AND LEGAL Aliens VOTING... The AG looks the other way.. as well the FBI, CIA, BATF, NSA, secret service even though illegals voteing in the millions skews national voting demographics toward the democrats.. Basically its sedition and espionage.. AND NOBODY CARES.. and I MEAN NOBODY..

How dare he! The people have spoken over and over again on this treaty, on illegal immigration, on ‘free trade’, yet he ignores us and kowtows to the internationalist’s agenda.

I don’t know if this country will survive to the end of his term.

He’s doing his best to give away the what’s left of our Sovereignity before he leaves office. Bush has been a total disaster.
Hopefully enough Conservatives can Filibuster this, otherwise it’ll surely be passed by Rinos and Dims.

The WOT is looking more and more like a cover for the Bush family’s push for One World Government. I’m not discounting the need for a WOT, but not as a Wag The Dog tactic to cover ulterior motives...

It is amazing. I share the frustrations posted here in general: friend of the court in the Kelo decision, blatant denial of illegal immigration, absolute refusal, and/or incompetence in taking on the media, or Democrats, etc.

There ARE many US citizens who do care, perhaps even a majority if they were spoken to, but are neutralized by centralized control of the media forums; and thus don't know what to do about it, other than write to public forums and our sad self aggrandizing representatives.

I agree: Hillary will win, John McCain is the red herring. It has been decided long ago.

The really sad thing is that when the police authority of government becomes disconnected from the sense of the people who pay for it, cynicism, nihilism, and crime, are the inevitible result. How many wonderful Soviet products are on the market? I voted for him twice,(ala the CFR, there was no choice) but George W Bush is either abysmally ignorant, or as sinister as his predecessor.

The Bush administration claims the initiative for reintroduction of the treaty comes from the military, which likes the 12-mile territorial limits it places on national claims to waters. Yet, critics point out international law already protects non-aggressive passage, including non-wartime activities of military ships.

Comparable to giving away your house if the HOA will allow you to paint it white.
