It all began on a frigid January day with 10 bearded Muslim men huddled in the parking lot of a Circuit City debating who would go inside to have a copy made of a tape showing them firing guns and praising jihad.
Eventually, the group - who'd been seen standing outside earlier that January 2006 week - selected two men to go inside while the rest waited in the parking lot, an employee who was outside smoking at the time recalled.
Once inside, the two men approached the television section of the electronics store where videos could be transferred to DVD and copies could be made.
They handed the teenage clerk a mini-cassette tape from a camcorder and asked for a $20 transfer to be made to DVD. As they waited, the two men calmly walked around the store looking at televisions, video games and DVDs.
What they didn't know was that they had sealed their ultimate fate.

This is what the Islamic community is hoping that you will ask before they do anything to stop terrorists, and of course, they are hoping that the answer you will give is not to call anyone.

Well that`s the whole thing with racial profiling. This country refuses to do it even though it is completely logical to do so. It`s exactly like that kid story of the King having no clothes...Everyone is afraid of saying something that is so obvious, so they all say what is acceptable until someone comes along and tells the truth.
Like I said, thank God this didn`t happen in a liberal hot spot like New York city (where I live, or condemned if you like) or Berkely...This employee would have been suspended or even fired for even thinking of calling the cops. “Just because they are middle eastern and in their 20`s does not mean they are terrorists! Circuit City condemns such racist attitudes!”
The Left yes, but also The American Trial Lawyers' Association who have created a culture of lawsuit-terror in our country, where people are constantly second-guessing themselves before doing ANYTHING that is even vaguely out of the ordinary.
A young kid working at Circuit City doesn't make a lot of money, and the idea of having CAIR as well as a bunch of high-priced shark lawyers come down on you like a ton of bricks is going to give a lot of people pause.
I wish that President Bush would speak to this sort of issue in one of his public addresses, and assure people that if they contact law enforcement with their concerns it is NOT RACISM, it is Patriotism.
This culture of fear really needs to be stopped. Who knows how many people have already died because of it?

A clerk in that sort of position knows that his job hangs by a thread, and the slightest infraction will get him fired. All it would have taken was some snivelling Leftist floor manager who didn't want to 'make waves' or 'risk offending customers', and this information would never have made it's way to law enforcement.
Hundreds (or more) of Fort Dix soldiers would now be dead or horribly maimed as a result, if such a piece of pond-scum had been there that day.
I sincerely hope that not only this clerk but his entire extended family is already under active protection, and I also hope that surveillance is being carried out at all Circuit City outlets in case another muzzie with Sudden Jihad Syndrome wants to send a 'message' of "you better not snitch on us again".

This was a very close call. I certainly hope this kid’s identity is kept secret. Not only did he have to overcome liberal conditioning, but it took genuine courage to go ahead and report it, considering what we have seen happen to anyone who opposes Islam.

Being called a "racist" is the convenient, catch-all phrase for Leftists to use when they want to stop an argument and instill fear in others, regardless of whether it's a technically accurate expression in any particular context.

My own preference would be to go a step further, which would be profiling as you say but also make it crystal clear to all people that if they report their concerns to law enforcement, that it is NOT RACISM, but is Patriotism, and they will not need to worry about reprisals or lawsuits.
This culture of intimidation of honest and decent people needs to stop.

A Home Depot clerk was instrumental in cracking a huge multi-million dollar fraud in a Roslyn, LI school district -—even the school auditor and school superintendent were in on it.
The woman who masterminded the fraud controlled the books and the checks and siphoned off millions of dollars to phony vendors. She lived in the lap of luxury with several beachfront homes, lavish vacations, and cars.
She also issued unauthorized credit cards to her family members.
One of them, her son, a builder-—was charging hundreds of thousands of dollars in materials at HD.
An alert HD clerk noticed that the charges were billed to the school but the materials were going to a residence.
That brought the scheme to a halt.

One can only hope that this clerk would be equally vigilant if the matter involved some sort of discrepancy involving muslim customers or a racial minority. Equal Justice for All should also mean Equal Prosecution for All, when appropriate.
I'm guessing that if the kid was not already leaning toward the Light, he certainly is now :-)
