SALT LAKE CITY -- Radio relationship guru Laura Schlessinger, in Salt Lake City on Friday to speak to Army families at Fort Douglas, said she was tired of hearing the complaints of lonely and overwhelmed military wives whose husbands are deployed. "He could come back without arms, legs or eyeballs, and you're (whining)?" Schlessinger asked before taking the stage at the base theater to host her daily program on ethics, morals and values. "You're not dodging bullets, so I don't want to hear any whining -- that's my message to them."
Schlessinger boasted that she once talked a young woman out of marrying a soldier, noting that "warriors need warrior wives" and that she felt the woman was unprepared.

What an idiotic article. I can’t believe the author makes money writing crap like this. LaPlante must think he’s quite a clever guy, when the opposite is true on a few levels.

Dr. Phil, in stark contrast, actually does have a doctorate in clinical psychology.

When someone says "**snort**", what exactly do they mean by that? I've wondered every time I've read it. Admittedly, this is my day for stupid questions to everybody. lol
Dr. Laura Schlessinger holds a postdoctoral certification in marriage and family therapy from USC and a license in marriage, family and child counseling from the state of California.
But Rush has the consensus of the American people (20m+ ) behind him, and therefore by consensus of the American people he is right. And anyone who disagrees is simply a Rush denier.
I doubt "Dr" Laura has the consensus of the American people behind her to the degree Rush does.

As in, it suddenly struck me as funny, and that sudden laugh precipitated a snorting sound.
The local high school principal has a doctorate in education, and always insists everybody call him “Doctor”. I always make air quotes when I call him that. PhD’s who insist on being called “Dr.” crack me up.
BTW, I once heard “Dr.” Phil was involved is some con-man scheme years ago. Don’t know if it’s true, but sounds highly possible.
It can also mean inhaling a drug, eg snorting a mixture of cocaine and one's father's ashes .
