"The second pain is the combination of the loss of life and the large number of crippled young men and women of our armed forces, but the greater number is the 65,000 absolutely innocent children, women and men, all Iraqi civilians, who have died from the disturbances created."

What an ignorant Jackass.

In Saddam's 26 years in power, he caused the violent deaths of 2 million people between the wars with his neighbors, his genocide at home, and his terrorizing of dissidents. That averages out to more than 6,000 killed a month for 26 years. Where was Mr. Stephens of EBSCO then? Where was his "compassion" then? Where was his "sense of injustice" then????

Americans have to realize that these creeps smitten with "Sudden Conscience Syndrome" are fraudulent political hacks, dressing up their hatred of Bush and disdain for America in self-righteous historically ignorant rantings.

65,000 absolutely innocent Iraqis killed by the US? Exactly WHEN did this occur? The military is just popping peaceful civilians left and right? OK, I’ll bite, then I’d like to ask how many NON innocent Iraqis have been killed? You know those gentle, peace-loving waifs who just happen to be firing RPGs at our Marines, blowing up cars and buildings, cutting off heads of reporters, slaughtering Iraqis who simply want to govern themselves. If we’re just murdering 65,000 “innocents”, we must have killed millions of non-innocents by now.
