Unfortunately, if more people had acted like Bush during the Vietnam war, 4 million people might still be alive (Pol Pot).

And the Dems are considering doing the same thing again in Iraq. Only the consequences will be much greater than in Vietnam.

Good God!

Iraq is a case in point.

The ultimate determination of failure or success in Iraq will have to wait for other key events to unfold in that country. But amazing things have happened there already—events that the pessimists never dreamed would be possible in their wildest nightmares. The actions of the Iraqi people themselves standing upproudly with their purple fingers for a future as a free and democratic country could not have been imagined prior to 2003. These are the same people who continue to face, day after day, the reality of an enemy determined to kill them rather than let them be free and democratic. This reality did not prevented them from doing what they had to do in order to bring the blessings of Liberty to themselves and their posterity. While it is likely that many—especially in the most violent areas like Baghdad—are discouraged and continue to suffer from the mindless killing, most have not given up. They understand that the terrorists will never accept an optimistic vision that includes freedom and self-determination in Iraq.

Their agenda includes only oppression and death, Allah be praised. One could say that they are optimistic about that particular insanity—and they have reason to be because they understand how to manipulate the defeatests in this country.

The pessimists and defeatists (better known as Democrats) would have us pack up and go home without completing the job; abandoning the Iraqis and the future that they are now able to see clearly. The lunatic fringe of pessimists are perfectly willing to embrace failure because they care little about bringing freedom to that part of the world and cannot grasp how doing so will benefit their little quest to remake America into their socialist utopia. The Democrats are only narcissistically concerned with how to regain power and live in the White House again.

Both understand is that if they can embarasses Bush and makes him look bad; and if they make sure that the death in war of any soldier is hysterically exploited to mean “doom, doom, doom” then it will to make their “real enemy” (and that enemy is not connected with the terrorists we fight). They manage to do this and optimistically spin their behavior as “supporting the troops”, even as they take the valor and sacrifices those troops make for this country and transform them into just another victim group the Democrats can champion.

The way of the optimist is to persevere and keep the eyes on the prize (an Iraqi Democracy in the Middle East). Failure to achieve our strategic goals may in fact result from our efforts, but it is most certainly not a given. And there is ample evidence after two major democratic votes in the face of threatened terrorism, that the Iraqi people are predominantly optimistic about their chances. This optimism is also present in the military personnel who work every day with the Iraqi people. They can see the positive impact of their efforts, and thus their optimism is reinforced. There is no question that the country has a long way to go to become a true democracy—but even in Kurdistan where progress has been phenomenol, it has taken over a decade to achieve the kind of stability they have created there.

It might be cynically argued that the Democrats’ and left’s overwhelmingly pessismistic vision and hopelessnes regarding both Iraq and the war on Islamofascism in general, is based on their optimism that taking the low road and undermining President Bush and his Administration will bring them back to power in American politics.

I remain optimistic that this will not be the case.

Sulkowicz has had a problem with Bush that dates back several years. Here's what he had to say in 2004 after Bush beat Kerry:

'Dr. Kerry Sulkowicz, a psychoanalyst and clinical professor of psychiatry at New York University's School of Medicine, believes "people are genuinely worried that Bush is our leader." He said virtually all of his patients this week said they feel depressed about the fate of the country. "They feel helpless and dismayed by Bush's staying power."

Dr. Sulkowicz has the perfect name for someone specialising in post-election crybaby counselling.' (tee hee)

The Bush-hating reporter knew exactly which Bush hater to ask to get the response she was looking for. Huge and moronic waste of perfectly good trees and electrons.

I notice that Congress had to save us from the menace of unsafe Mexican trucks, which the administration was apparently happy to allow on a “trial” basis. Would the deaths resulting from accidents caused by faulty trucks or poor driving also have been only on a “trial” basis.

Kim Philby thought until the day he died that history would vindicate him.

I’ve gotten very pessimistic about what I can expect from President Bush and his administration. The Newsweek explanation may be as good an explanation as any. I’m ready to listen to others.

Robert W.Godwin, Ph.D is a clinical psychologist whose interdisciplinary work has focused on the relationship between contemporary psychoanalysis, chaos theory, and quantum physics.

Here are some of his comments about the mentally ill Left:

Tuesday, November 22, 2005
Through the Liberal Looking Gloss

As a continuation of yesterday’s post on the logopathology of the left—that is, their troubled relationship to language—I’ve put together a little glossary explaining the actual meaning of words and phrases used by the left.

For example, when they say ultra conservative, this actually means conservative. And when the MSM refer to a moderate conservative, they mean a liberal who is a Republican in name only, like Chuck Hagel. Of course, the MSM’s favorite Republican is John McCain, because he is a maverick, meaning that he holds a lot of positions that are to the left of his party. This is in contrast to Zell Miller, who is just an angry nut for holding positions to the right of his party.

The Democrats are the pro-choice party, meaning the party that wants to choose how to direct your retirement, where to send your children to school, and how best to spend your money.

When liberals accuse you of suppressing their freedom of speech, it means that you are criticizing them, or perhaps even censoring them. But when you censor conservatives or suppress their freedom of speech, it is called a speech code. Calling President Bush a liar is a courageous act of speaking truth to power, while criticizing the liberal stance on the war is questioning their patriotism.

Evil, of course, does not exist. George Bush, however, is evil. Speaking of things that don’t exist, there is no such thing as the liberal media. However, the conservative media are any media that are not liberal.

A homeless person is what you call a chronically mentally ill person during a Republican administration. Likewise, during a Democratic administration, deficit spending is investing in our children’s future. During a Republican administration it is called mortgaging our children’s future. Tax cuts involve stealing the government’s money in order to give it away to taxpayers.

Racial profiling refers to common sense police work in identifying likely suspects. Affirmative action refers to government enforced academic or occupational racial profiling. Similarly, civil rights are special rights for designated victims. A civil rights activist is a lobbyist for special rights for his ethnic victim group.

Blacks are people who are helpless victims without the support and assistance of white liberals. Black conservatives are people who are abused and victimized by the left for failing to be helpless.

Multiculturalism, of course, involves seeing beauty in all cultures but your own. Diversity is the philosophy that treasures neo-Marxists of all skin colors and sexual deviations. When a liberal uses the word tolerance, this actually means acceptance and celebration of differences. If you merely have acceptance, this means you are intolerant of differences. For example, if you only tolerate homosexuality, you are a homophobe.

A Vietnam war veteran is a baby killer, but a chicken hawk is a conservative who avoided being a baby killer in the 1960’s. But a war hero is a baby killer who opposes the Iraq war. A quagmire, of course, is any war opposed by liberals, especially if it is a defensive war and/or we are winning it. Otherwise, you will never hear the word “quagmire” used in human discourse.

Bilingual education involves the difficult achievement of learning nothing in two languages. It is often employed to teach illegal immigrants, who are undocumented Democratic voters. Feminism is the celebration of masculine women who have angrily overcome their femininity, femininity being another category of oppressed victimhood. Global warming is what is destroying the earth if it it isn’t first destroyed by global cooling.

Homosexuality is a genetically caused condition that renders one incapable of engaging in sexual relations with the opposite sex. Its opposite, heterosexuality, is an arbitrary gender identification caused by cultural conditioning. Similarly, there is no such thing as the homosexual lifestyle, while queer studies departments engage in the study of the homosexual lifestyle. Sex education is a leftist philosophy promulgated to children that reduces human sexuality to animal sexuality.

Moral relativism is the absolute belief that no beliefs are absolute. Pornography is a type of expression that is protected by the first amendment, while religion, especially Christian religion, is a dangerous type of expression from which we are protected by the first amendment.

Another definition of speech codes is that they are restrictions on language designed to protect liberals from the first amendment. Separation of church and state means state hostility to religious expression. Finally, separation of crotch and state was Bill Clinton’s defense against charges that he had lied about having sex with an intern. ~ Robert W.Godwin [aka Gagdad Bob]

Denying the evidence of your eyes is the most extreme form of the coping mechanism called denial.

Yes, he's not denying the evidence of his eyes because he sees what is actually going on in Iraq. It is the drive-by media who don't want to see what is going on there and are eager to characterize it in a way that is consistent with their worldview. Ignoring reality in favor of maintaining one's worldview is insanity. It's not Bush that is insane.

I wonder how Sharon Begley would have psychoanalyzed FDR in February, 1943.

Would she have judged him in "denial", after the American forces had been outclassed by Rommel's Panzers at Kasserine Pass? And after the Battle for Guadalcanal had been won at a stunning cost, suggesting the blood it would take to defeat the Japanese in the Pacific.

Should FDR have called "Kings X" at that point?

Silly bitch.

It’s lucky that George Washington and Abraham Lincoln did not have to face this kind of cheap 4th rate b.s. psychobabble. Both of those great gentlemen would have had ample reason to give up long before victory, according to today’s depraved MSM follies..... and both would have been judged “mentally ill” by the nitwits at Newsweak.... (well, Lincoln did suffer seriously from depression in his earlier years, but I don’t think any credible person would ever suggest that he perservered in winning the Civil War out of “mental illness”).

A notice displayed in a Texas court room highlights the cynicism displayed by many:-

When a psychiatrist or psychologist testifies during

a defendant’s competency hearing, the psychiatrist

or psychologist shall wear a cone shaped hat that is

not less than two feet tall. The surface of the hat

shall be imprinted with stars and lightning bolts.

Additionally, the psychiatrist or psychologist shall

be required to don a white beard that is not less

than eighteen inches in length and shall punctuate

crucial elements of his testimony by stabbing the

air with a wand .

Whenever a psychiatrist or psychologist provides

expert testimony regarding the defendant’s

competency, the bailiff shall dim the courtroom

lights and administer two strikes to a Chinese gong.

It is too easy. A mental duel with liberalism is like shooting puppies with a machinegun...

Sharon Begley is a senior editor for science at Newsweek, which apparently entitled her to conduct a tired psychoanalysis of President Bush and his state of denial about the war in Iraq, suggested earlier in his life by his comforting his mother as his sister Robin died of leukemia at age three, and his alcohol abuse as an adult.

She may also be the loudest opponent of intelligent design in the media.

I'm not talking the normal kind of jerks we all meet and deal with on a day to basis...the kind of jerks even some others consider us, ourselves, to be.   These two were unique.  I think they considered being despicable human beings an art form of some kind...and they were Classical Masters at it.

Pure coincidence, I know, but I'll never trust anyone named "Kerry".
