"Show me just what Mohammed brought that was new, and there you will find things only evil and inhuman, such as his command to spread by the sword the faith he preached." - Manuel II Palelologus
I don't know if the conservative movement has become brittle, hate filled and bitter, or if the internet just attracts the wankers in any movement.
Ron Paul is right on the money.
Ron who?
And on this issue, Rudy is absolutely right. Paul is just a different kind of nutroot.
Ron Paul is a an absurd embarassment. He’s ‘our’ Dennis Kucinich.
In last night’s Republican Presidential debate, candidate Ron Paul suggested that the U.S. bombing of Iraq had contributed to the terrorist attacks of 2001, although Paul was pointing out the entire US-Mideast policy attracts those who want to inflict harm upon America.
On stage, Giuliani stated emphatically, “I don’t think I’ve ever heard that before, and I have heard some pretty absurd explanations.”
However in 2002, Prince Alwaleed of Saudi Arabia made a similar US-Mideast policy connection which also drew the former mayor’s criticism and subsequent return of the Saudi prince’s $10 million USD relief fund check.
To all those condemning Ron Paul for supposedly blaming 9/11 on America: How do you feel about President Bush’s decision to pull American forces out of Saudi Arabia, thereby fulfilling Osama bin Laden’s primary objective as stated in his manifestos?
--Rudy Guiliani
And you people are saying that RON PAUL is an idiot? My God, are the neocons really that gob stopping STUPID?
Guiliani was emotionally brilliant in the play to the crowd on that one, twisting the reasoning WHY the arabs attack us into a "blaming ourselves" slur, which Ron Paul did not mean. Give Guiliani credit, he did good on that one, whether he was honest or not. However, the statement he gave for why the Muslims DID attack us has got to go down as one of the most thoughtless brainless, asinine comments I have heard from anyone.
Neocon decerebrates lap it up like water, too.
