Gore would be better than thompson. Gore learned from Clinton, and Thompson learned from Bush. Posted by: Charles Caughorn at May 16, 2007 08:31 AM

Thompson vs. Moore. Genius. Posted by: Number9 at May 16, 2007 09:05 AM

Actually, Charles Caughorn, the previous poster, doesn't appear to be intelligent enough to post on this blog. He is correct in that Gore "learned" from Clinton, in that Gore was Clinton's VP. However, as for the "Thompson learned from Bush" statement, I am puzzled. Thompson has never been a VP as far as I know. And further, Thompson only served as Senator while Bush was President (W, not HW) for 2 years, until 2002. Actually, Thompson probably "learned" from Reagan. If you are going to post politically biased statements, at least have them make sense.

This poll is pretty pointless since neither Gore or Thompson are actually running. Of course Thompson was a U.S. Senator until he refused to run for re-election even against the pleading of his best supporters. His explanation was that he wanted to make more money. His high point as Senator was when he presided over Senate hearings intended to impeach Pres. Clinton. Why isn't he screaming about Bush's multiple felonies (since taking office, not the ones before)Thompson is poplular because he is not being vetted like the other "announced" candidates. The sheeple mainly like him because he's on TV. Posted by: Steve McGarrett at May 16, 2007 09:59 AM

No contest. Thompson would bring out the worst in al cause al can’t remain calm. Remember when he got off his stool and strolled over to Dubya? Remember how Dubya looked at him and then said: “Ok.” Nope, Thompson would beat him by a mile and a half. But...I DO hope al wins his party’s nomination though

An Al Gore/Fred Thompson debate would be like a Stephen Hawking/Mike Tyson fistfight.

What? Only 70% for Fred? Let's get it higher!

FREEP THIS POLL ***PING!*** FRmail me if you want to be added or removed from the Fearless Poll-Freeping Freepers Ping list. And be sure to ping me to any polls that need Freepin', if I miss them. (looks like a medium volume list) (gordongekko909, founder of the pinglist, stays on the list until his ghost signs up for the list)

Actually, I think everyone would die of boredom watching the debate; they both tend to be rather “stiff” speakers.
