You’re not a Christian, are you?

I got to admit that once upon a time his ideas intrigued me on some issues but then he went and stood with the Democrats on that non-binding “surrender” vote. He may have had his own reasons but he still let himself be counted for their argument. I can’t forget that.

Good luck to him and if it came down to a choice of him or a Democrat I might consider giving him my vote...but that stunt a few months ago lost him my support in any situation short of that.

I’ll help Ron Paul...I’ll chip in to buy his meds. I think the guy belongs in an institution, and I don’t mean Congress. He’s nuts.

I don’t see a problem with debating Ron Paul; he’s got some good ideas domestically but is a national defense one-man wrecking crew.

What do Log Cabin Republicans have to do with anything? If I’m not mistaken, that’s a group of gay Republicans, and Ron Paul is not affilated with them.

“...and the Republican establishment are both scared spitless of his plans to strictly follow the U.S. Constitution and disband Federal bureaucracies.”

Yes, we’re scared of a guy who can’t eek out double digit poll numbers, and gets trampled by candidates not yet in the race! Makes perfect sense to me.

Well, that’s a different statement entirely. But to attack a person’s religious beliefs who professes to be a Christian is beyond the pale (you didn’t do this, that other poster did).

They endorsed him, probably because he opposed the Federal Marriage Amendment, which any conservative should have.

You have to apply for the endorsement and fit a set of criteria to earn that endorsement.

Anyone that qualifies for an LCR endorsement is a LCR candidate.

I don’t think that’s true, but let’s say it is, and get to the larger issue - who cares? I evaluate candidates based on their positions on the issues, not what groups like or dislike them.

I agree, its not only uncalled for, its inaccurate as others have noted.

I’ve never bought into the opinion of his supporters that Congressman Paul is a ‘great candidate!’ for any publicly held office...but going after him with false accusations about his faith isn’t necessary. His own words take him out of contention for the nomination, if you accept he actually had a shot in the first place (which I don’t).

Gonna be a long campaign....

>>>I don’t think that’s true

What? That you have to apply for the endorsement and be approved? It most certainly is true. Go to their site and emmail for an application yourself.

>>>who cares?

You did selective reading? Do you go to Post 3 of that thread? LCR, MoveOn, CPUSA, Not In Our Name, RNC2DNC?????

I don’t lie down with commies. If you would like to, maybe a conservative forum isn’t for you.

The Republican Party is scared by someone who represents the views of a party that typically struggles to get close to one percent of the national vote?

The Republican Party is scared of someone that can turn their press conferences into debates.
