I have written a book about that time period. The title is Inside the Danger Zone and it was published this month by Naval Institute Press. After Stark, the situation evolved into a naval quasi-war with Iran.
Weren’t the French & the US on the same side during that war????IIRC,Reagan accepted the Iraqi apology ordered the USN to take out Iran’s navy.Making Saddam’s life far more easy.
You would hope so, but with the French, who knows what side of Western civilization that they’re on.
