Someone else posted a thread here with a story that was written in the Las Vegas Review Journal, before the video survellance tape came out. Below are the video links to ABC-Las Vegas Action 13 News, with Investigative reporter, Ben Deci.

And who is the senator of the state there? Hmmmm, perhaps his hatred of the war in Iraq (and by proxy those fighting it) has trickled down to some in his state. For once the ACLU is on the right side of things.
Has Bush been blamed for this yet?
10 years from now some liberal college kid will be mocking the troops of the next war claiming these incidents never took place.
Do not question your overlords with guns and badges. They can do no wrong.
Cops are pricks - nothing new here.
Whoops, sorry, didn’t realize who I was posting to....
a) thank you for your support of your husband, and for his service.
b) I’d suggest sending to michelle malkin:
www.michellemalkin.com
www.drudgereport.com (easy email submission box on right hand side).
c) I’ll send this along as well.
I watched the videos. I think they were trying to kill him. I couldn't help but think they have some type of personality disorder; you know, too much aggression. They need to be fired.
It’s a good thing you have the recording from the cell phone. If those officers think they can taser someone for using foul language then God help the people they’re supposedly protecting.
well just what the hell did he do to deserve this? I viewed both parts and I’m stunned. did he use a “magic word” that offended these cops maybe? he seemed polite and professional when his cell caught part of it. I don’t get it. have the police given any valid (in their view) reason for this yet? give these videos a look fellow freepers.
No doubt there was probably no lack of high-fives and pats on the back afterwards at the bar. I can only imagine the one saying “Did you see that m****rf****r hit the ground and do the funky tuna when I lit him up with the taser??? Let’s go kill some kittens.”
If this was a black inner city non-soldier male assaulted by a white cop, there’d be a riot, a conference with Jessie Jackson, and a congressional hearing.
America’s soldiers deserve the same level of attention and outrage.
great Idea, michelle malkin will be ALL over this.
sent also to drudge and redstate, now to ACE (he’ll flip).
If they'll treat a soldier like this, what chance does anyone else have?
Las Vegas is now Off Limits for me.

yeah, and the “reverend” (my ASS) al would show up to. oprah would warm up a place on her couch for him also.
Well, they can run from a barage of emails, plus, Dr. Roul’s got it right - hitting them in the purse always gets attention. See Imus.
Hey, along the lines of disparate treatment based on race, I heard about a story in TN (I think) involving the vicious murder of a white man and women by some number of black Americans. The controversy is that the media there tried to supress the story because of the race of the perps...heard anything about that?
Watched the tapes. The GI did not appear drunk or high. That he missed his plane is a good indication he was cutting it way too close to departure.
Maybe when he went back to ‘discuss’ the issue with the TSA puke, it got a little heated.
BTW - The cop looks to have used a “snap” (Brand name ASP) baton - a steel rod in other words. The use in most states is illegal due to the injuries and deaths from the use of that type baton.
Just for the record, if some TSA type told me he was any kind of officer (when I was active duty), I would have told him to stick it - big time.
Your husband’s observation was right on the money.
“That is F^^^ed Up.”
I’ll probably be in the minority but I am glad the ACLU is here for situations like this. Of course I wish they didn’t have their head’s up their collective a** about religious freedom and because of that I cannot support them.
But they do some good in cases like this.
How about Freepers calling the Mayor of LV and let him know that we won’t be travelling to his city—it isn’t safe!
Seriously, this could have happened to anybody. Seems like an innocent person expressed reasonable dismay and suddenly found himself in a “this can’t be happening” nightmare.
I learned from tonight's episode of ER that torture of innocent Iraqis is a common occurrence, and that people who support the troops are terrorists who bomb antiwar rallies.
there was a thread on FR today about it at about 1pm (pacific) if I remember correct. read the story, links and posts for a true horror story. it is not for the faint of heart and it is a perfect example of the reverse racism now eating away at our country.
I think that was the last episode of ER I’ll be watching...
We’ve pretty much decided too that Las Vegas is no longer a spot we want to visit. Basically, it sucks.
FYI, I just registered boycottlasvegas.com
If they continue to take the position this beating was justified I think that the only thing the city may understand is loss of money.
I will try to raise awareness through a boycott and will welcome other who want to be involved.
I’ll get control of the domain within 24 hours.
I’ll search for it, thanks.
I’d like to see someone post this story over at DU and see if they cry about the use of tasers now that’s it’s not some college kid crying about the Patriot Act. I doubt the other story would raise and eyebrow, though I suspect many would blame the victims (9/11 = our foreign policy; TN = slavery)
I am very sorry for what happened to your husband. Please tell him that we are so very grateful for his service to our Country. We are blessed to have such brave men defend our Republic. May God bless you and your husband. I will pass this on.
>>Always thought I’d like to vacation in Las Vegas. I was wrong.
If they’ll treat a soldier like this, what chance does anyone else have?
Las Vegas is now Off Limits for me.<<
I agree and would welcome ideas on how best to use the domain, boycottlasvegas.com that I just obtained.
I can’t watch the video as I’m on dial up but I’ll take your word for what I’d see. Sounds some Vegas cops are in dire need of tune-up. There are good uses for wide stretches of lonely desert.
Thanks, see here also

Would this be covered by Congress’ new hate crime bill? Imagine if the races were reversed, the media would be playing up this story 24/7 calling for support of the bill ala gun control every time a shooting happens.
The boycottlasvegas.com idea is brilliant. We really need to let the Mayor know about this. If he see this story getting legs, and a boycott fits that bill, he’ll look for somewhere to place the blame (the offending officers).
I’d suggest:
1. Tell the story by posting details including the videos and cell phone links, a message from the family (maybe let them post/respond to posts/provide updates). Provide some background about him and his honorable service.
2. Call for a buycott until justice is served. Give out the local phone numbers, give out Reid’s number, encourage phone calls.
3. Link up with the ACLU person (they have great access to a wide market) and get them to help push it.
4. After you start getting some hits, include a hit counter and/or pledge to demonstrate the numbers and send a clear message.
You might check out other sites like defendthedefenders, and other boycott orientated sites, i.e. http://www.boycott-riaa.com/

Thank you. Excellent ideas.
BTW, if you ever want a domain, registration plus a year of hosting was only $23.94 Somebody had boycottlasvegas.org but they didn’t have the .com

Last one:
Come up with some catchy contest or something - i.e. a dollar for them not you (ok, not catchy at all, but you get the drift)....instead of giving money to LV, people can give money to the Englands....this is their website:
This should come as no surprise look who their senator is. These boob cops are most probably Reid supporters. Screw Las Vegas I can lose my money at a lot of other locations.
ping
I had wanted to take a trip to las Vegas, Nevada, but this has changed my mind. I do not care to be the next target of some TSA dips**t or LVPD jackass.
I’ll just gamble in nearby New Mexico or Oklahoma.
Get the story to Rush too. Service men & women listen to him. Imagine if they said they’re not going back to LV until this were made right. Whew. Now that would get the Mayor’s attention.
bttt
Sen. Reid’s boys at work here. Bet he’s pleased as punch.
bttt
Excuse me, but what did you expect? This is Harry Reid’s home state. He supports the troops and wants to bring them all home where it is safe. What is your problem? /s
I don't think so, because the law wasn't in effect at the time the crime was committed. First thing I thought when I saw that law was that we should all "come out of the closet", cuz it throw a major wrench in the works. What they gonna do, prove that you're not what you say you are? Personally, I don't like the idea of "hate crimes", so don't really support feeding that animal, even if it's for one of my "kind".
Imagine if the races were reversed, the media would be playing up this story 24/7 calling for support of the bill ala gun control every time a shooting happens.
No doubt. I wonder if the Vegas cops would have thought twice about beating Sgt. England if he wasn't "just" a white guy.
