A Budget Reduction suggestion to the RNC
n/a ^ | May 18, 2007 | fmr RNC supporter

Dear RNC

In the spirit of cost savings and spending reductions, cornerstones of the Republican Party platform, I offer this heartfelt suggestion the the RNC brass: You can save money by removing me from your mailing list. Your correspondence, for several years now, has hit my trash can unopened.

Removing me from your mailing list [name and address below] will easily and painlessly save the RNC hard-donated money that you can put to better use continuing the party's on-going initiatives in big spending, open borders, the McVain presidential candidacy and Teddy Kennedy hugging.

R-I-P GOP.

Sincerely,
Name
Address

TOPICS: Your Opinion/Questions
KEYWORDS: bigspending; borders; rnc; teddykennedy
It was the least I could do to help the RNC/GOP.

I like it! Today when I was out mowing my lawn I was thinking about what to send the GOP. Now I know. Many Thanks!

I feel your pain.

Tonight, of all nights, I got a call from the RNC requesting a donation. The guy tried to convince me that closing the borders was not a good idea...after yelling, “Not one dime until the borders are closed”, I hung up on the tool.

I thought my head was going to explode! They just don't get it!

I generally don't give any significant amounts to political campaigns or parties, but one of the reasons I do not give small donations ($25 or $50) is because I know it is a waste of money.

If I send $25, for the next two years they will probably spend twice as much sending me mailings. Meaning that my money did no one any good, except for the ad agency they use.

When I see a donation form that says:

[ ] Here's $25 and leave me alone
[ ] Here's $50 and leave me alone
..
..

Then I will send something. I'm a big boy - I know when I can or want to send a donation. Mass mailings are not going to help me decide - I don't even read them.

Here is perhaps a better suggestion to catch their attention:

Every Republican who considers this a sell-out should, within the next week (the quicker the better) change his party affiliation from “Republican” to anything else

That might work. Put me down for $5.

Oldhunk, I would have done that but my state doesn’t require party-specfic registration.

Dear G.O.P.; Might I offer a money saving idea to the leadership. Perhaps you should move The Republican National Headquarters to NUEVO LAREDO, Mexico. That way you may immerse yourselves in the culture you so love and wish to import for your constituency. You know, the little people who vote and make contributions, the same ones that you are supposed to represent--constituants.

Hope you find my suggestion helpful. Have a margarita or two while there but don't loose your head while getting to acquainted with the locals.

That’s a great idea, Colorado. They can hire some Mexican Nationals, thus helping the economy south of the border so they can buy some American goods in the spirit of NAFTA.

NAFTA - another in-the-ditch program brought to us by Bush 41 & the Bent One.

The immigration bill isn't signed into law yet.

It'll probably die in the House as more conservative Republicans and Blue Dogs will vote against it.

If a virtual fence is good enough for our Southern border, then I’m sending virtual money to the RNC.

The last fundraiser I got from the GOP was sent back with, “Not one red cent until the borders are closed!” scrawled across the form in red ink.

This was more than a year ago.........never heard from ‘em again.

Your lawn mower may have spoiled some especially choice items worthy the GOP traitors voting for the amnesty. Perhaps a quality canine could undo the damage in the morning.

Below is the response that I got back from my Dem Rep Peter De Fazio. I've met him on a couple of occasions and he has his moments, even for a (D):

Dear Mr. Me:

Thanks for your message in support of cracking down on illegal immigration and securing our nation's borders. I appreciate hearing from you and share your concerns.

The President recently reached a deal on immigration reform with key senators, including Senators Kennedy and McCain. I have not had a chance to review the deal in detail, but based on what I've read so far, I am opposed to it. As I've said repeatedly, I am against blanket amnesty and guest worker programs. Both of these appear to be present in the deal the President negotiated with several senators.

By contrast, the House immigration reform legislation I voted for in December 2005 did not contain either. Instead, the House bill was focused solely on improving border security, sanctioning employers who hire illegal workers, and making it easier to deport those who are here illegally.

It is unclear what, if any, immigration legislation the House of Representatives will consider this year. However, should the deal the senators cut with President Bush come up for consideration in the House, I will vote against it.

Thanks again for sharing your thoughts with me. Please keep in touch.

I contribute only to conservatives’ campaigns. Nothing goes to the national Republican party. I send a note back stating just this everytime I get requests from them.

"If a virtual fence is good enough for our Southern border, then I’m sending virtual money to the RNC." They will also get my virtual vote! I do not want to hear, "Fail to vote and you vote Democrat". Our elected GOP officials are about to do that. There are numerous studies / articles on the "illegals" eventual Democrat votes. Obviously, the view is based on past history of new immigrants and the Political Machine already established in the areas the "new" citizens (?) move into. Time is short for America, then RIP GOP. Their cheap labor needs of corporate contributors will see them undone. People vote, corporations don't. It also would not surprise me to sewe a Dictator (most likely) soon or a revolution. The Senor Axxjole Bush tells Americans to go to IRAQ and die for freedom, while he and his Democrat allies plan to stuff the ballot box!
