Images of Fetal Development
The following images were presented to Fr. Frank Pavone, at the time he was working at the Vatican, by a team of experts from Poland. The experts presented them also to Pope John Paul II.
Priests for Life is grateful to Professor Andrzej Skawina (Collegium Medicum Jagiellonian University, Krakow) and Dr. Antoni Marsinek, MD (Czerwiakowski Gynecological and Obstetrics Hospital, Krakow) for making these images available, and to the Zrodlo Foundation, Wychowawca Department, for the permission to use them.
We encourage pro-life groups and individuals to use these images, keeping in mind the words that pollster Harrison Hickman spoke to the 1989 conference of the National Abortion Rights Action League, "Nothing has been as damaging to our cause as the advances in technology which have allowed pictures of the developing fetus, because people now talk about that fetus in much different terms than they did fifteen years ago. They talk about it as a human being, which is not something that I have an easy answer how to cure."
CAVEAT: I am a commercial real estate broker, writer, and businessman. I have no medical training and don't play a doctor on television. But I am pretty sure that I seeing a developing human baby here.

Without reliance upon the Creator, and adherence to his principles, there is no lasting framework of any sort for a prosperous, a free, or a just society. It is the equivilent of building your house on the sand. First storm that arises will sweep it all away forever.

I consider ones life one of ones possessions. Life and Liberty with out ones property is not quite the same.
My point is that "Rights" do not exist in nature. A bunny rabbit has no right to life when a hawk is hungry.
Yes we must be a moral people for the framework to survive. This means we must respect the rights of others, simply because it is the proper thing to do, not out of fear of punishment. Punishment is a good backup plan, but it is a loosing battle if people have no moral framework.
You're in for a big shock sooner or later. I can say with 100% certainty that at some future date, you will discover that your life is only on loan. You belong to the One Who made you. (I sincerely hope it is sooner.)

Sorry, but we're not animals, and might does not make right. Self-evidently, we were created by God, in His image, and are called to something far higher than mere ravening beasts.
Your statements have more to do with the way of thinking that brought about the Soviet Union than they do with fundamental American principles of government or morality.

Have you never heard of self-government under God? It's the only thing that has ever worked to build a real civilization that actually works...and such self-government is impossible without the God that the Founders of America worshipped and served, and the principles He teaches.
As men move further from God and His principles, human governments rise up to fill the vacuum, with ever-increasing levels of oppression and tyranny.
The rights to Life, Liberty and the Pursuit of Happiness were called inherent to our being, meaning no one gave them to us, meaning no state gave us our rights, they exist as a concept, and people can choose to ignore them if the choose.

The Constitution does not confer rights -- it is a guarantor of rights that are conferred by God.
On August 1, 1776, Samuel Adams stood before a large crowd on the steps of the Philadelphia Statehouse and delivered a speech before the formal signing of the Declaration Of Independence on August 2, 1776. In his speech he stated:
"We have explored the temple of Royalty and found that the idol that we have bowed down to has Eyes which see not, Ears that hear not our Prayers, and a heart like the nether millstone. We have this day restored the Sovereign to Whom alone all men ought to be obedient; He reigns in Heaven, and with a propitious Eye beholds His subjects assuming that freedom of thought, and dignity of self direction, which He bestowed upon them. From the rising to the setting Sun, may His Kingdom come."
The close of the Declaration of Independence, which is so often ignored:
"We, therefore, the Representatives of the united States of America, in General Congress, Assembled, appealing to the Supreme Judge of the world for the rectitude of our intentions, do, in the Name, and by Authority of the good People of these Colonies, solemnly publish and declare, That these united Colonies are, and of Right ought to be Free and Independent States, that they are Absolved from all Allegiance to the British Crown, and that all political connection between them and the State of Great Britain, is and ought to be totally dissolved; and that as Free and Independent States, they have full Power to levy War, conclude Peace contract Alliances, establish Commerce, and to do all other Acts and Things which Independent States may of right do. — And for the support of this Declaration, with a firm reliance on the protection of Divine Providence, we mutually pledge to each other our Lives, our Fortunes and our sacred Honor."
The constitutions of all fifty states are premised on an appeal to the Creator, the Almighty, the Judeo-Christian God, and an admission that without him we can do nothing.
"The institutions of our society are founded on the belief that there is an authority higher than the authority of the State; that there is a moral law which the State is powerless to alter; that the individual possess rights, conferred by the Creator which government must respect. The Declaration Of Independence stated the now familiar theme: 'We hold these Truths to be self evident, that all Men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain inalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty, and the Pursuit of Happiness.' And the body of the Constitution as well as the Bill of Rights enshrined these principles." (The following year, prayer was removed from schools.)
Rights begin at birth. That is why we have the drinking, voting, and all other defined by how many years since birth not conception.
The fact that some States apply a double standard in fetal death is their problem not mine. I would apply all rights at conception.
