Another piece pointing out the obvious.
I saw a couple of Hollywood types making a very earnest pitch on a TV commercial yesteday to raise money to buy mosquito nets for Third World children to save them from malaria. I think the enviro-weenies are beginning to see the backlash coming and want to be seen doing something... anything... to look like they are getting out in front on this issue.
The fact that all this malaria is completely attributable to the non-sensical elimination of DDT completely escapes them.

Another typical liberal environmental boondoggle. Ever notice how things never improve after they convince everyone to do their bidding? The reason is, what we are forced to do to appease them has no effect on the non problems they wring their hands about. In this case, they truly did damage, but will never be held accountable.

That’s liberals. But they always meeeeeeeean so well. And of course, as we all know, being a liberal means never having to say you’re sorry.

How many times in a row must environmental legislation have negative consequences before we can stop calling them “unintended”?

You would think that 800,000 dead kids a year would make an impression... but I guess not.
I have a sneaking suspicion that the fact that the vast majority of these children are African or Asian has a lot to do with the fact that your typical Liberal cannot manage to care.

According to the Washington Post, there are "numerous" abortions every year too.
And they don't care, since most of them (by far) are just expendable brown people.

"Of all tyrannies, a tyranny exercised for the good of its victims may be the most oppressive. It may be better to live under robber barons than under omnipotent moral busybodies. The robber baron's cruelty may sometimes sleep, his cupidity may at some point be satiated; but those who torment us for 'our own good' will torment us without end, for they do so with the approval of their own conscience." -- C. S. Lewis

According to these CDC figures, malaria kills more than 800,000 children under age five every year. They would never say so openly, but the population controllers and the greenies probably think this is a good thing. Fewer third worlders to screw up the environment and increase global warming.

Shame on you all for looking at the actual results instead of at their intentions! When people do the same thing over and over with the same result, over and over, one can be forgiven thinking that that same result is not what they were after, all along.

the road to Hell is paved with good intentions. This is not directly relevant to the topic of discussion here, but speaking of intention, why does intention play a major role in murder cases ? For example the penalty for murdering a spouse with the intention of collecting insurance is different from the penalty given for say rage killing--eg finding out that the spouse has been unfaithful. Is the penalty punishing the thought or the crime ? I don't know the answer.. I am just wondering.

Fewer third worlders to screw up the environment and increase global warming. Funny how Greenies always seem so happy to eliminate other people, but never get around to eliminating themselves.
