To believe that the New Testament disagrees with the Old Testament you must believe one of the following:

1. The scriptures are not from God. (The Bible is just a good lesson in morality or a self-help book) 2. God changes His mind. 3. There is no God.

So which of the above do you believe?

I disagree with your options.

4. God understood that what early man needed was not what modern man needs.

We don't apply the same rules to 8 year old, 16 year old and 25 year old. When my son was 8, I didn't allow him outside after dark. When he was 16, I didn't allow him out after 10:00. At 25, he is on his own. Did I change my mind? No. I adjusted the rules to meet the situation.

God understood that early man was an infant and needed strict rules (Old Testament). As mankind matured, God understood that it was time to apply new rules (New Testament).
