It's hilarious that many of the FReepers who responded to the article never actually read it; past the headline, that is. Anyway, I agree with Chris Reed's article. Pelosi knows that if the amnesty bill reaches the House, it will likely damage the DemocRAT Party, due to voter disgust on both sides of the aisle (not to mention voters on the fence who don't want amnesty, either). Just goes to show that making our voices heard is having an effect, whether it's for the right or wrong reasons!

Hey Tamar, remember the friend I told you about who built his very own R2 unit? Well he's in LA right now, preparing to attend the Star Wars 30th anniversary convention (aka, Star Wars Celebration IV). From what I remember, he's actually "in charge" of running the R2 Builders Club (http://www.astromech.net/) booth on the floor of the LA Convention Center. Lucas is "supposed" to attend, and if he does, my friend will be able to show him his R2 unit in person. Pretty cool, eh? Anyway, I thought you'd like to know. :-D
