You know, its funny, but back in the days before the WWW when all we had was USEnet, the conspiracy going around was that the world was going to be divided into about three or four regions. European, American, Asian and maybe MiddleEastern (although parts of that are covered by Asia.

And low and behold the EU sprang up. Now there's talk; a lot more than talk actually, about working on at least a N.American Union. China's working on becoming the dominate power in Asia....

I'll agree that a lot of politicians today are out for the here and what can you do for me now, but the people behind them pulling strings, and they do exist, are long term thinkers. To pretend otherwise is in itself, shortsighted.

Our government is becoming less about serving the people, and more about serving the people behind the curtain.

THis is precisely what the charades on immigration over the last decade have been intended to accomplish. Not so long ago, when folks called in to the mighty Rush Limbaugh to complain about illegal immigration, noneother than Rush told them, ".....sign of a great economy .... work Americans don't want .....yadda yadda yadda" In short, the standard American Chamber of Commerce blather of the time.

This gambit has obviously worn itself out. But now the protracted footdragging has commenced. FCOL, they cannot even build a goddam fence! In the meantime, the illegals continue to show up, have those American-citizen anchor babies, and continue La Reconquista de Aztlán.

If a couple of million fast-breeding Albanians can strip Kosovo from Serbia in 50 years, don't you think 50 million Mexicans can take back the Southwest?

They are very rational, since Conservatives are small in number, and have no political power compared the the left and their massive media, its understandable that they are picking their poison.

Either their small conservative base leaves them, (which they usually do when the candidate gets bad press anyway) and risk a loss, or the MSM pounds them as racists and bigots, and they risk a loss.

Either way they lose, so maybe they choose to go out without their reputations, and their family’s reputations forever destroyed as anti-immigrant and racists.
